Unique, le premier restaurant Not Your Average Joe's Nashua NH a ouvert ses portes en 1994. À cette époque, il existait peu de restaurants qui servaient une bonne nourriture à un prix raisonnable dans les environs. Fatigué de conduire et de payer trop cher, Steve Silverstein a décidé de construire le restaurant qu'il a toujours voulu. Le nom Not Your Average Joe's provient de la volonté de Steve de créer un restaurant original, un lieu unique de quartier, où les gens se connaissent, avec un bon rapport qualité/prix et où l'on se sent spécial sans pour autant avoir besoin de se mettre sur son 31. Et il n'est pas le seul. Aujourd'hui, avec 15 restaurants dans les alentours de Boston et quelques-uns près de Washington DC, le Not Your Average Joe’s est le lieu idéal pour satisfaire une grosse faim, dans une cuisine décontractée mais créative. Drawing inspiration from the region’s history and natural surroundings, the 156-seat freestanding restaurant reflects elemental themes of wood, water, iron, and fire, reminiscent of the carriage houses and blacksmith shops that once dotted the landscape. The centerpiece of Forge & Vine is an eight-foot wood fired grill and open kitchen with counter seating where guests can enjoy dinner while interacting with the chef.
