Our story began in 1973 when Greek Chef Lefteris Lignos from Santorini, moved to Puerto Rico and established Zorba the Greek, the first Greek restaurant on the Island. In 2022, his son Alexander Lignos decided to bring back the culture and the hospitality that characterizes his father’s homeland and opened OPA! Greek Kouzina in Guaynabo and Condado in 2023.The menu, a combination of traditional Greek dishes and new Greek culinary trends, was created hand in hand with Greek Chef Alexandros Kardassis, recognized as one of the “Top Ten Chefs of Athens” with five Michelin Great Food & Value awards, and the traditional Lignos family recipes.
