Fine Italian food in the very centre of Birmingham is Cucina Rustica's trademark, a comfortable, atmospheric Italian restaurant popular with both locals and tourists visiting this vibrant city. Although modern and slick in its execution, the choice of deep earthy colours and moody lighting, tactile materials such as wood and stone and the addition of characterful contemporary art and healthy, verdant plants give Cucina Rustica that slight traditional feel suggested by its name and a certain cosiness that gives it a home from home feel. Attention to detail is in every little touch here at Cucina Rustica, from the single rose placed on each table to the complementary olives produced on every guest's arrival. Equally, food is produced with great care, dishes traditionally Italian but done with flair and a certain amount of style, some unusual choices offered alongside classic favourites, all from the classic Italian cookbook and accompanied by a wide array of drinks.

    Always a great night with Cucina Rustica from the warm welcome to an extensive menu and superb food which never disappoints. Little wonder this restaurant has been voted best Italian eatery in Birmingham - thoroughly deserving of that. It is our go to and we love the setting, food and welcome we receive always.

    Staff were lovely - provided a complimentary tira misu to wish my daughter a happy birthday. Had a lovely meal.

    Second visit to the restaurant! Food again was gorgeous! Service excellent and attentive, quick times on waiting for food! Perfect for date night! lovely wine!

    Fantastic fresh seafood and specials menu! My partner had the seafood risotto from main Menu, and I had beef stroganoff from the special menu, which was perfectly fresh and tasty! Just a small issue in terms of the sharer for two starter menu price, we ordered one, but was charged for two. I did raise this with the server and she admitted it does cause confusion with customers, so I suggested they perhaps amend the menu to show the price for two, as this is the normal way to price it to avoid confusion. However the portion was large and delicious, so had we known we would have only had one portion. The service was great and would definitely visit again!

    Belissimo!!! Where do I start? I always tell people how good this place is, and their recent award is testament to that. Our sever was prompt, friendly & welcoming with a smile. Our drinks were brought over & order taken. Food arrived hot & absolutely delicious. We had the bruchetta to start which was super fresh & well toasted. For mains we had the Penne Della Cucina (King prawn & chicken in a spicy sauce), and the wild boad pasta parcels with a mushroom & cheese sauce. Both beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. If you like a bit of spice then choose the Penne Della Cucina. Had a tasty garlic, mozeralla, and tomato bread to share. To finish we shared the light as a cloud tiramisu which is heavenly. Thank you as always, I'll be back again for business lunches and with friends.

    We arrived a couple of mins late but had a friendly greeting and shown to our table, was asked what drinks we would like very quickly and they were then brought to table in no time at all, food was really tasty and again brought to table quickly.
