I'm updating my review of Crabtree's Kittle House. This used to be my go-to place. No more. It is an okay meal, but the $12 onion rings were a pile of oily clump of onions, not the large rings I was looking for to go with my overcooked (ordered medium rare, got medium) strip steak. Not impressed. Used to know the owner...haven't seen him in a long time. I guess that's why the restaurant was 1/3 full, as their servers and staff need training. Sorry my old friend, it was nice knowing you.

This was once one of our favorite places, especially for special occasions. We had a few disappointing experiences and stopped going. The restaurant changed over and we promised ourselves to try it again but it took a few years to get around to it. The restaurant is less formal than before and the service not quite as good as when it was at its best before but the food was excellent. The range of choices made selection happily difficult. And the service was friendly and attentive enough that this is going to be a favorite again.

Had a wonderful dinner from the fantastic lobster bisque, to the shaved Brussels sprout salad, to the branding entree. Did NOT need it, but capped it all off with the chocolate “gift” dessert and cappuccino! Left stuffed, but everything was so good we couldn’t stop eating!

Love this place -especially the bar area. Great service and ambience. My only small request would be to revamp the menu.

Food was excellent and so was the service. My steak was perfectly cooked and sometimes that doesn’t happen. The Sommelier was very helpful with the wine choice without us having to spend hundreds of dollars.
