Cork Wine and Tapas Bar is located in New Bedford, Massachusetts and strives to serve delicious food made with seasonal fresh ingredients. Weekly food and drink specials are offered on all three levels of dining (Lounge, Main Dining Room and Taber Room). Local live music is performed on Friday and Saturday nights in the Main Dining and Taber Rooms. We offer exclusive event spaces for any function; please inquire with any of our knowledgeable staff to get information.

Service was excellent, but unfortunately the food was just not good. The descriptions of the food sounded so good and everything had the potential to be great, and the portions were decent, but nothing was executed well. The mushrooms were cold and the smoky flavor was overpowering, the calamari was cold and the breading was wet and fell off the calamari rings, the mussels were undercooked and lacked flavor, the confit chicken wings were too sweet and were overcooked, the squash gnocchi were incredibly salty and were mushy and gummy. We had been wanting to try this place for a long time too, so we were really disappointed. The restaurant was nearly empty at prime time on a Saturday, so maybe that’s a reflection of the food quality, or could’ve been an off night.

Sat at the bar upstairs that has views of the waterfront of New Bedford and the ocean. The bartender was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The food was superb. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Although I have lived in the area for years, this was the first time going to Cork. The waiter was friendly, professional, and attentive. We had two entrees, the lamb and the scallops. Both were cooked perfectly. We did not leave a morsel on the plate. We also tried a new wine that is now our favorite. We will definately be going back soon. Top notch ambiance, service, and food.

We moved to the New Bedford area 1 year ago…have tried every restaurant from New Bedford to Mattapoisett, the dinner at Cork was the BEST of all. Hang on to that chef! Amazing.

Went here for the first time as an early Valentines dinner with my husband absolutely love this place. We’ll definitely be back.

The service was horrible. The waiter never came back to give us water or to check on the meal. It took one hour for the food to come. I ordered a caesar salad and it was out of a bag. The worst service and food we’ve ever had there. We will not go back.

Stopped in to celebrate my sisters birthday. Everything was absolutely delicious. Stand outs were the mozzarella frittata and the mussels. Honestly everything was so good. Chef Alie is a major asset to Cork and I cannot wait to visit again.

Great Experience great time, the bartender screwed up the check, but other than that, it was OK. I would highly recommend it and parking is a nightmare.

Overall, we had an excellent experience. The service was great, and the food was excellent. However, the heat could have been turned up; everyone was sitting on their hands.
