We arrived and had a wine tasting. Our server was Joy. She was fantastic! When we went to the table. We had very very slow service. We had to ask for water a couple of times. She wasn’t around much at all. Our waitress seemed very overwhelmed, and was not very friendly. The food was good.

We had a wonderful waiver who was training a girl for dinner tonight. They checked on us numerous times but didn’t rush us. Our meals were made to perfection and everything arrived at the correct temperature. We had the option of dining at the Algonquin Cooper’s Hawk or South Barrington and we always prefer the South Barrington location. Your servers are very knowledgeable and attentive.

Waiter was “off” possibly “just getting back to work after some sick leave ? We went there to celebrate a very important birthday 🎂 & it seemed “dismissed” brought out 2 chocolates, candle, & 6 plates to share the 2 chocolates with, what a joke ! — which was NOT @ all funny ! Wish our drinks were attended to more but, ahhh well !

First time having a bad experience, I think our waitress had too many tables. service was slow. Salmon was just okay, nothing special. They did not have the dessert we ordered so agreed to the chef’s special cheesecake which seems to be a cheesecake they have and they throw some sauce on it. Food was lukewarm and desert arrived long after coffee was gone.

Outstanding food, drinks, ambience, and service! Our server, Stefani was outstanding! We never had to ask for anything. The churrasco steak was excellent!

We had lunch at Coopers Hawk today. Once seated, our server Jenni promptly greeted and welcomed us and took our membership info and told us about this months wine. She returned with bread, water and a tasting of the current wine of the month. The wine was tasty. We opted to split a salad to start with and order lunch. The cilantro ranch sandwich is a large sandwich with yummy sauce on the side. Fries were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The gnocchi carbonara lunch portion is about half the size of the regular dinner size but really was just enough. We prefer this location even though there’s a CH that is closer to us. Our whole CH experience never disappoints at South Barrington. Food was great, Jenni is an excellent waitress.
