It was not very crowded last night which was kind of nice because it's a popular place (for good reason!) and is often pretty busy. Noise level was lower than usual which I must admit was nice. Having said that, when we've been there when it's crowded you can still hear your companions easily, so the noise level has never been an issue for us. Food was delicious as always. Wine tasting before dinner was great as always - the people that do the wine tastings are fantastic.

We waited a full 1/2 hour till we recieved bread and asked for the 3rd time for napkins/silverware. Granted it was windy outside but the wait for both bread and out app was much longer than normal. That being said, our food (main and app) was awesome. The chocolate cake was good but not spectacular. Our server (Azalea?) was super nice, efficient and was handling a lot of tables outside.

Cooper's Hawk is one of our favorites and this time we enjoyed the Dana's Chicken and the Napa Chicken salad. We also order the special pineapple upside down cake for dessert, which was a disappointment. The cake itself was extremely dense & heavy, as if it never rose while baking. Additionally, the service was great up until we finished our dinner. The waitress brought 2 plates for the dessert shortly after we finished dinner, but then we waited 15 minutes or more for the dessert. In the future, I think we'll skip the dessert.

We had reservations and were seated promptly. However, it was somewhat annoying that despite many tables and booths being empty the hostess directed us to a table directly next to and in front of the kitchen where servers were constantly coming in and out. The hostess accommodated our request to be seated elsewhere, but it is annoying that the table she initially took us to was probably the worst in the restaurant. Also, the restaurant is very, very noisy. Hard to hear even among our table. I don't know that there is anything that can be done, but just to note -- it's incredibly noisy despite not being full. We still enjoyed our meal and will return but these two things make it not as enjoyable as it could be.
