My wife and I had a late lunch with our son and his daughter-in-law who had just turned from a vacation in Italy. We enjoyed hearing from them over a bottle of Cooper's Hawk Red, gnocchi and salmon. We had a comfortable booth and excellent Service. My wife and i are members of the Wine Club and plan to return to Cooper's Hawk many times in the future.

Unfortunately, our food was served under cooked twice. We eat here a lot and it wasn't up to the standards it usually is. I was also surprised we never heard from the manager after two bad meals being severed.

The only reason for the negative review for service is the hostess. She was very rude to our party. When I gave my name she said, you don’t have a reservation; I cancelled it. When I asked why that would be because we had made a reservation on Opentable. She told me because we were late (by 10 min past the 15 min grace period). I then asked if there was a table available for three and she advised she’d have to check. We had my husband’s 96 year old mother with us and were unfamiliar with the area as were from out of town. Luckily, the restaurant had maybe 26% of their tables occupied so we were able to be seated without a problem. I’m sure the hostess was aware of the many open tables at that time. This could have been handled in a much more professional and courteous manner by the hostess and I wouldn’t have felt I needed to write this review.

cOOPERS HAWK is my favorite go to restaurant in the area. Parking is easy the wine tasting has generous pours, the menu is varied and the food is excellent. I can’t say enough about the service because everyone I’ve ever had is very attentive. I am a wine club member and I enjoy being able to serve a bottle of wine to my friends who are always so impressed by the big decanter they put on the table, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for just a fun night out or a serious business meeting

Gathering together with Ol’ friends, used to be members. They moved to Raleigh NC area and would like if Cooper’s Hawk would open something near their area!

I had been to a Cooper's Hawk in FL and had a much better experience. The ambiance and services was much better. At the Ashburn location we were seated and not given any reviews or menus for specials for the evening. The waitress also didn't have any idea of the wines and reviews. We ordered two to taste and it took 15 minutes to get them. Our appetizers came out before the tasting. Then she ordered our meal when she came back with the tastings. She never took a wine order and never came back for another 20 minutes. At this point I was thinking the meal was going to come before we could even put in a order for a bottle of wine. We finally had to flag her down and the table next to us had to tell her that we needed help. Then we put in a order for a bottle of wine but rushed it because the food showed up right as she finally came back to our table. As we suspected the meal arrived and we still didn't have our wine. So much for pairing the wine with the food! I was shocked given that is what Cooper's Hawk prides itself on. 10 minutes into the meal and we still didn't have the bottle of wine. We had to flag her down again and at that point she had forgotten which bottle. Finally 5 minutes later the bottle came but we had to ask her to put it in a decanter. It was a red wine. At this point our food was almost gone and cold as we were all waiting on the wine. And the bottle we ordered was not very good, as I mentioned earlier we just rushed to order it to get something on the table. This was the worst experience ever. For $400 and the wine came after the meal. It took us two hours at this place and the last 20 minutes was spent finishing our bottle of wine that should have arrived first. I will never go back to this place. It's a shame cause the food is decent and I thought after visiting the location in FL the ones in VA would be similar but I was wrong.

It was a lovely evening and we had reserved an outdoor table. Dinner was lovely. Not rushed. All the food was hot and everyone in my group loved their choice. But honestly the best part was our server. She reminded us how wonderful it is to have great service. Her name was Lex. We waited a beat for someone to greet us and she ran up and we quickly realized we were the only table she had on the patio. She apologized for making us wait a minute - which actually worked cause it gave us time to look thru the menu. But honestly she was a delight. She smiled and was engaging and answered questions honestly. We will absolutely go back to that location and ask for her. If the managers at Coopers Hawk read this know that the food is good there (like a lot of places) but we’ll definitely come back and ask for Lex!
