The Cooperage Inn takes great pride in serving the freshest fish, meats and local produce available. Sauces are expertly prepared on premise by our chefs.



The name "Cooperage Inn" comes from the craft of coopering, which goes back a few centuries, when it was the major method of packaging. We are located in the Long Island Wine region. Wine makers have always relied on the skills of the Village Cooper to store and age their wines.

                                                                                                        Passed by it many times and finally decided to go. brought family and it was an all aroung excellent experience. service and food were off the charts. ambience amazing. cant wait forthe holidays to go again and see it beautifically decorated. very highly recommended!💥

                                                                                                        Usually we have a very good dinning experience, but in our last few visits to the Cooperage Inn, things seem to be slipping. In our recent visit, it took a long time for our table to be greeted. 10-15 minutes. The server assigned to us was too busy. Once service began and our order was taken, things seemed to be back on track. Appetizer, fried fresh mozzarella with artichoke hearts and tomatoes, not very good. Bread basket appetizer, also not very good, especially the rye sandwich bread slices. The main course took too long. We sat for about 20 minutes waiting on the meals after finished with appetizers. Entrees were mostly good, steak special, halibut special and a kids pasta. The halibut was surprisingly very thin and flat. For the price, a better cut of fish should have been served. We finished the meal and had some to take home. Tin containers were stacked on top of our bread basket so we could wrap our food. This is unacceptable to me. At the level of dinning and price point the Cooperage offers, dinners should not have tin containers stacked on their table to wrap their own meal. Maybe a step of service lost in the Covid days but regardless, that’s unacceptable at the casual fine dining establishment like the Cooperage Inn. I’m hoping the next time we return it’s better, but it might be a while.

                                                                                                        The restaurant is warm and welcoming. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server who explained the specials and took our drink order. She gave us plenty of time to review the menu before asking what we wanted. The food was excellent. I had the cedar plank salmon which was cooked to perfection and probably the best I’ve I ever had. Coffee and dessert followed dinner. The cheesecake slice was so large that I took half of it home to enjoy today. We will definitely return.

                                                                                                        Service was wonderful - I actually ordered Thai chicken wings extra crispy - came with this amazing blue cheese I believe with dill and garlic … seafood bisque was great THERE CHEESE BURBER WAS OUTSTANDING- omg - one of the best burgers iv ever ever had btw for lunch. Drinks mmm the Long Island ice tea eh and then ordered an espresso martini - I should have let them add the Bailey’s … but over all everything was very nice - I had a nice birthday lunch.

                                                                                                        wonderful experience as always. The baked clams are my husband's favorite of any restaurant. Food is always done perfectly and the service is always very friendly.
