Le Columbia est le plus ancien restaurant de Floride, fondé dans l'historique quartier d'Ybor City à Tampa en 1905. Géré et exploité par la même famille depuis plus de 111 ans, il a acquis une solide réputation pour son charme d'antan ainsi que sa cuisine espagnole/cubaine et sa carte de vins primée. Les tenues décontractées sont acceptées, mais le restaurant n'autorise pas les chemises sans manches pour les hommes. Des travaux d'amélioration indispensables effectués sur 21st Street et 22nd Street à Ybor City ont ralenti la circulation à proximité du Columbia Restaurant.     Overall had a very bad experience at this restaurant and it was a place I was really looking forward to dining at. First, our hostess, who were probably high school kids sat us at a table where the waiter went home for the night….the saving grace was another waiter who saw us sitting idle for 20 + mins. He alerted the hostess who came by and told us “ your waiter had a personal problem and had to go home”…….i mean shouldn’t you have figured that out before seating us. The damage was done and while our new waiter tried his best but you can clearly see him being overwhelmed by getting an extra table. He wasn’t really recommending and when asked is this good quickly decided to make it our dish or cocktail…..in other words we felt rushed. But again it wasn’t his fault, he was a gentleman who was put into a bad situation. Regardless we ordered empanadas ( which were oily), crab cakes ( which tasted sour/bitter(. Main course we had the breaded chicken and the ribeye….both which were passable. Would I come here again, probably not, it’s just a very old restaurant, that is frequented by locals so has a good PR Game.

    The service is always the best. The food was very good we had one miss on an overcooked steak. The entertainment (dancers) added to the fun atmosphere. I love coming here when I visit Tampa.

    Phil (our server) was awesome. Food was good as expected. The only disappointment was that the band was not present. We missed that which usually adds a lot of nice ambiance to the experience. Otherwise great experience.

    My food was delicious. I am eating again at the airport location.😊Highly recommend the 1901 salad and the empanadas.

    The service is top notch. Food has changed a little since last visit, but still delicious. Highly recommend the White Chocolate Bread Pudding!

    The service and food were impeccable. Everything was prompt. Although we arrived early, we were set on time at our table. Everything was great. The Chocolate Cake is the best.
