Le Columbia est le plus ancien restaurant de Floride, fondé dans l'historique quartier d'Ybor City à Tampa en 1905.     There was a table of 20 behind us celebrating a birthday and they were raucous. Danielle was our server, and she went above and beyond. Our reservation was honored, and we were seated by 1:00. Our glasses were filled without asking.

    This was my guests first time to The Columbia. The atmosphere and the food were amazing, but the service was very disappointing. Our waiter Ernesto was not the caliber of server that we witnessed in the others around us. He threw a to go box and our table and kept walking. We saw other servers assisting customers with theirs. He never asked if we needed any refills on drinks or dessert. When told we'd like an order of bread pudding, he acted annoyed and said he'd check to see if there was any. He never returned to let us know, but a very sweet lady brought it out to us. He seemed very confused about how to split the check, and we waited a very long time for our change. I don't know if he was new, but if so, he definitely needs more training. I have eaten there many times and have never had poor service before yesterday. I will say that the staff that brought out our food and the lady that made our salad were wonderful.

    Usually always 5 stars . This time could have been better. I did not get what I ordered and it had to be redone. My husband was halfway done eating by the time I got my order.

    The food was excellent as always. The most memorable part of the dinner was our server, Ryan, who was knowledgeable and engaging. His service was truly outstanding.

    As a person living in Tampa, I have been to multiple Columbia restaurants (10+). I usually go to the Ybor location. Yesterday's visit was absolutely the WORST service I've had in any restaurant in years. I had friends in from out of town, and they had heard about Columbia, so I made a reservation. The service was so bad. Even after speaking with our server, nothing changed. I sat with empty drink glasses for 20 minutes and never saw the server (she only came to our table four times in 2.5 hours. The first time was to introduce herself and take our order, and the last was to drop the bill). Entrees were mis-made, and my wife sat without any food for 30 minutes. I spoke with management, and while apologetic, it seemed as if he really didn't care. He even made a snarky comment after I explained what was happening. I was dumbfounded that after expressing my complaint to the manager, he replied, "I think I saw her in back crying about your table." It was said with a "you're just a complainer" attitude. Shorlty after that and after 30-40 minutes, my wife finally received her salad... yes... she was waiting on a salad. When the bill came, there was no reduction and no offer of anything (not even a free desert) to make it right. Everyone and every place has a bad day so I will go back but the experience was HORRIBLE.

    Great lunch meetup with girlfriends! Prompt seating with reservations. Our waiter had the best mustache! The 1905 salad the best!

    Excellent in every facet. The bread pudding was to die for, and we enjoyed our Cuban sandwiches. The addition of the salami to the sandwich was great. Can’t wait to go back!

    Kylee was amazing! She helped us energize the table with fun. The only thing I would change is the crackers with the chorizo appetizer. I would use bread instead. The chorizo kept falling off the crackers and the flavor/oil would leak off instead of soak in.
