We are an interactive culinary environment.

At our restaurant we create and interpret the culinary ideas inspired from different cultures, products, and techniques. Our always evolving menu is a result of the interaction and interchange of different experiences.

An open kitchen, eclectic and without limitations.
Because cooking is our passion.

Historically cooking evolved through the interaction and exchange of cultures. Through this premise and advances in technology our project, Cocina Abierta, was born, designed for the sharing and development for our passion.

We reveal all of our secrets and we create the dishes shown on our website and blog.Cocina Abierta also offers a boutique deli with a selection of homemade gourmet products. You will find a selection of breads from around the world and variety of jams, artisanal cheeses and meats, chutneys, and pates. Sweets, chocolates, and baked goods are available.

We came to Cocina Abierta to celebrate our engagement and it did not disappoint. Cocina Abierta has a really creative and robust tasting menu that I strongly recommend. This was one of the most incredible culinary experiences my partner and I have had, being up there with é by jose andres - one of our favorite restaurants. If you choose to visit this restaurant, I encourage you to choose the "wild card" beverage option so the waiter and bartender can pick a drink that fits your meal.

Cocina Abierto was such a great choice to go for dinner. This was our first time in PR and CA came recommended as a foodies paradise. It did not disappoint. The food was truly unique and wonderful. The service was knowledgeable and made excellent wine pairing suggestions. Ambience is low light and very chill. And the distance from the Condado Vanderbilt where we stayed, or any of the Condado hotels, is perfect for walking off that great meal. Excellent choice!

We had the tasting menu with paired wines. The server was amazing, helpful and perfectly pleasant without being overly assertive. Every dish was clean with distinct flavors from the chef point of view. Would recommend 100%. Great location as well. A memorable experience for our short birthday very.

The service was wonderful with Erik and food was delicious delivering on the tastes of the island. Highly recommend!

Menu looked interesting so tried the tasting out. The first two courses were fine, the cheese bread was fire. but starting from the third it got quite salty. I did the pairing too, and I don’t see how the wines pair with food at all. Most importantly service was bad. Our waiter was impatient when I asked to see the bottles from the pairing and told me he cannot do so. He then became also impatient when introducing the dishes and even gave us tableware for next course when we were still finishing up current course. He also never asked me how do I like my wine, as the pairing was as bad as if he gave me the wrong wine - the sparking rose just won’t go well with cured egg + steak

The food was salty, presentation was terrible. We didn’t finish the meal. Very slow and employees were not service oriented. They wanted us to order “all” the food at once, instead of serving the entrees first and then let us order the rest of the meal. It was terrible. Really bad. My friends preferred a good Big Mac instead if this terrible food. Never again. Shame on me for ever coming here.
