Coast Restaurant are delighted to have received their first AA Rosette for 15 years! Enjoy the finest locally sourced ingredients served with simplicity and style, with menus that change with the seasons to reflect the seasonality of the produce we use.

Coast at the Hythe Imperial offers fine dining in an elegant and relaxed setting. Guests can enjoy modern British cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients that reflect the seasons. Dishes are never over-elaborate and always allow the quality of the ingredients to shine through.

For larger tables of over 8 people, please call 01303 267441. Please note that if there is a pre booked event in our Coast Restaurant, dinner will be served in our Windsor Lounge.

The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. However I was very disappointed with my vegetarian meal - it was lacking in flavour and finesse for the amount paid.

Everything was superb. We’d not dined at Coast for some time but will definitely be going often now. The meal was delicious.

The menu was quite limited for a vegetarian but the service and room were pleasing. One grumble that we were not offered tap water and a bottle of still charged at £5.

Really enjoyed our two courses and was impressed by the young waitress, who seemed a hospitality natural.

Beautiful restaurant with very attentive but not intrusive staff, friendly, welcoming and made us feel important. Food was excellent and delicious, nicely presented and a good selection, including gluten free options. Really enjoyed our evening. Definitely a treat for a special occasion.

We were having a short break at the Imperial Hotel, and very much enjoyed eating in the Coast restaurant. The food was very tasty and nicely presented. Our young waiter was friendly as were all staff. A very pleasant experience.
