I made reservations here for a friend’s 50th Birthday. It even asks about that in the reservation The server seemed friendly, but as the night carried on he seemed off. We asked for bread (is that taboo?) and were told there were no baskets so we could not have bread at that point… meanwhile the bread table was literally beside our table. Not sure why he could not cut a few pieces and bring them on a plate for us. The oysters were ok, not fabulous. Our mains were fine. Eventually after asking enough times for bread, some cane. Then, as we got a dessert and actually mentioning the birthday (also noted on the reservation) I asked for a candle and was told they did not have candles while the table just to my right literally just had a dessert with a candle. We thought he was joking so we waited. He came back and asked us if something was wrong with the dessert and we asked again and he reiterated there were no candles. What giant restaurant does not have candles? It all felt fake when I JUST SAW a candle at the other table? My friend came in from out of town and we could have gone anywhere. I wish we had gone somewhere else. A crappy vibe for her birthday and I felt disappointed. I do a lot of dinners out for work and always liked Cluny for the most part, but I won’t be going back. Total disappointment.

Very busy time of the year; 10min before a waiter showed up. And then wine and bread basket came at same time as food; should have arrived earlier. Noise level high. However food excellent although skimpy on vegetables.

The steak frites was delicious! The bread is amazing and the overall atmosphere was super upbeat and perfect for an outing! I would totally recommend!

All the food was excellent. Great hamburger and fries. Great pork chop. Would love to try other dishes like French onion soup too. Music too loud though.

Food was excellent. Only disappointment was where we were seated and the infrequent serving of our table. When I made the reservation on open table, there was a prompt for what you were celebrating, if anything. There was an option to say you were on a date. So I clicked that, because we were! Reservation was for 5 pm-very early and the restaurant was very quiet. Even though I had selected the "date celebration", we were seated next to the only table with children. The table was very close to ours. I would have expected a quieter table. The service was also very infrequent. The other party arrived before me and when I showed up, it was over 15 minutes wait just to get a drink. We weren't checked in on during the meal. All that said, I would return for the amazing food.

One of my favorites!! Food is great 😊 I always recommend the French onion soup And the crispy asparagus…amazing cocktails and let’s not forget Aneils amazing service!!! Plus I got to meet very kind Stewart 😘 fun afternoon

I’ve been going to Cluny for years and I’ve never been disappointed before. The portion size of the tableside beef tartare has definitely gotten smaller and the service has become much more casual. I booked Cluny as I do every year for my birthday. Today was my champagne birthday (also my 30th), which was indicated in the reservation. No one wished me a happy birthday or attempted to make the occasion special. I’m not expecting much, but I have been a server and a bartender for 10 years and I know that the fact that this was supposed to be a birthday dinner would have been visible to the host staff who should have advised the server. Additionally, we finished our mains and the server walked by and said “are we all finished or would we like to see a dessert menu?” I felt like we were being rushed out. I never write negative reviews and I know this is not the servers fault but I was disappointed for the first time by Cluny.
