Clos Maggiore est une oasis de calme au cœur de Covent Garden. Influencé par les auberges de campagne stylisées de Provence et de Toscane ses intérieurs uniques créent une chaleur et une intimité qui plaisent tant aux gens d'affaire qu'aux particuliers. La véranda a un toit en verre entièrement rétractable créant un espace salle à manger lumineux et aéré, particulièrement agréable pendant les saisons de printemps et d'été. Il se transforme en soirée par l'utilisation de bougies, la lueur des étoiles et un feu crépitant pendant les mois d'hiver. Le Chef de cuisine Marcellin Marc propose une sublime cuisine d'inspiration provençale avec un panache contemporain. Marcellin est déterminé à utiliser des ingrédients locaux et saisonniers pour créer des menus parfaitement équilibrés qui se sont mérités trois rosettes - AA depuis 2008. La vaste cave du Clos Maggiore compte plus de 2000 crus et a été bonifiée plus tôt cette année pour inclure 400 vins supplémentaires à des prix allant d'accessible - à moyen de gamme. Nous sommes très fiers d'avoir obtenu le "Best of Award of Excellence" sans interruption depuis 2003 attribué par le Wine Spectator.

Details Pre-Theatre, dining experience of 1 hour 45 minutes. Available Monday to Sunday 5pm to 5:45pm. - 2 course set menu including a glass of bubbles at £32.50 per person, excluding discretionary service charge at 12.5% - 3 course set menu including a glass of bubbles at £39.50 per person, excluding discretionary service charge at 12.5% - 48 hours cancellation policy from the date of booking, cancellation this period will incur a charge of £40.00 per person to the card provided. - We welcome children above the age of 14 years.

Great food and amazing decor around Christmas, definitely needs to be booked well in advance , I would recommend you request downstairs at the back near the open fire for that special ambiance

Had to wait 20 mins as Our table wasn’t available at the allotted time, no apology given. Slow service to take food order after which was smooth. Food excellent and they have wonderful sourdough bread! Complimentary espresso.

Excellent setting, and the food was excellent. We had the pre theatre set menu with a glass of bubbles, which was excellent value. The waiter was engaging and attentive. It's not our first visit, which says it all, really.

We celebrated my daughter’s 20th birthday last evening. Clos Maggiore is Michelin listed but doesn’t have a star and this shows. The ambience and service was great. The food was presented well enough but not top class. The food tasted nice but was no special and didn’t justify the premium prices. The worst part of the meal was the chocolate soufflée which had not risen and should never be served. It was late so we didn’t send it back at the time and I didn’t want to embarrass my daughter by complaining. I expected more from a Michelin listed restaurant.

Great food and ambiance, but disappointing service We chose this restaurant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, as it was where we went on our first date. The setting in the conservatory was lovely, and the tasting menu, champagne, and wine were all excellent. As a thoughtful gesture, the staff even brought us an extra dessert to mark the occasion, which we really appreciated. However, the experience took a disappointing turn toward the end of the evening. Shortly after dessert, we were presented with the bill and informed that we needed to leave soon as the table was required for another booking. This was despite still having wine left to enjoy. Although we were told we could finish our drinks, a waitress returned just minutes later to insist that we move to the lobby, even though an adjacent table remained unoccupied. To make matters worse, when we relocated to the lobby, it became clear that no one was waiting for a table. We politely explained that this felt inappropriate, especially given it was our anniversary, and that the pace of our meal — including the wine service — had been entirely under their control. Unfortunately, no consideration was given to this, and the situation was handled without any empathy or understanding. This left us feeling rushed and disrespected after what had otherwise been a wonderful meal. We could have understood if we had lingered unnecessarily, but the timing of our departure was dictated by their poor planning, not ours. It’s truly a shame that such a lovely evening ended on this sour note. While the food, wine, and ambiance were undeniably excellent, the lack of care from the service team overshadowed everything. For this reason, we won’t be returning — and in a city like London, where exceptional restaurants are in abundance, we thankfully have plenty of other options.

The decor is stunning, and the food is exquisite, presented in a fine dining style. However, the level of service was disappointing and failed to match the high standard set by the ambiance and cuisine. We didn’t feel looked after at all, which was a real letdown. Unfortunately, it felt like just another West End restaurant that makes little effort to provide good service, relying instead on its prime location and Instagram-worthy decor to stay fully booked, regardless of whether customers return."

Food great value for money. Our side dishes could never be described as ‘piping hot’, but not cool enough to be sent back to the kitchen. Service declined significantly since last visit, struggled to access the white wine bottle we had bought! Nowhere near as responsive as they used to be.

The Restaurants decor is very well done but unless you are in the middle of the restaurant in front of the fire it’s not that special. Not as big as it looks online. The starters we had (Velouté of Celeriac, Soft Poached Egg and Terrine of Duck, Pork & Chicken) were both no great a little tasteless. We both had the pork belly for main but this was just belly fat with no meat. But the truffle mash and the dessert of Apple Crumble Tart, English Custard Cream and tiramisu Was very good. A Also the service was very good
