Chef de cuisine : Pietro Gallo - Enrico De Santis

Cette ancre de Little Italy axée sur le développement durable est une ode à la Calabre. Le chef Pietro Gallo prépare des fruits de mer typiques du sud de l'Italie, ainsi qu'un rare menu entièrement végétalien comprenant des lasagnes au ragoût sans viande. Ce sont les classiques de la nonna réinterprétés pour les habitants de San Diego soucieux de leur santé.

I made a reservation for two online to celebrate our anniversary, expecting a nice evening. Unfortunately, when we arrived, they seated us at a tiny and unstable table outside, right next to the sidewalk, with people constantly walking by. We kindly asked the hostess if we could be moved inside, but she didn’t even try to accommodate us, simply saying, “No, we’re full.” It was disappointing, especially since I had made a reservation in advance. We ended up just having a bottle of wine and leaving without eating because we didn’t feel comfortable dining so close to the busy sidewalk.

Appetizer came out cold twice. Another meal of lasagna was badly charred on the bottom. I feel very ripped off.

Had a wonderful experience! Our server James was phenomenal with suggestions and being consistent with our needs. The whole staff was on top of everything. The food was fabulous! I took my friend for her birthday she is not vegan but I am and it was a great place were we could both get something we like! Each of us enjoyed our meals and the glass of wine! Will definitely be coming back with more friends and family! It was a wonderful first time experience for a native San Diegan ❤️

We always have a great time at Civico. The focaccia is amazing every time. The short rib pasta is a go-to as well as the stuffed chicken breast. The calamari however tasted bland and possibly a bit under. Last time we had gotten it, it was great. This time, not so much.

Very good food and service. A little overpriced for being Italian food, which is not really expensive to make.
