Service was a bit slow, although I believe he was covering many tables. Restaurant is made up to be upscale per the menu. Although, it was obvious the broccoli was from frozen and the mashed potatoes were presented as if they came from a cafeteria. I had the fish which was supposed to have a beurre blanc sauce and caper tartar. I did not see a beurre blanc sauce. There was a hint of the caper tartar which I wish had been on the side with visual capers on the fish with the beurre blanc drizzled on the fish. Food temp was slightly warm. Baked sweet potato had been sitting quite awhile. I believe the restaurant wants to be upscale, staff dresses as such, ambience is striving to be. I think the food prep needs guidance on how to get there.

Alex was our server and she was excellent, checking in appropriately without being considered “hovering”, being thorough with our orders, keeping our drinks filled, and graciously boxing up our leftovers.

I have eaten at City Range previously, and the service and food has always been excellent. However, this time we arrived for our scheduled reservation, with our out-of-town guests (and our gift cards purchased specifically for that purpose), to find that the restaurant was CLOSED. I am pleased that the restaurant treats their staff well and gives them time off--but they should not be taking reservations for times that they are not open! We had to drag around to several more places before we found someplace for brunch, which was not a good look for us or for Spartanburg. Amended: David at City Range contacted me immediately after I let them know about this issue, and was very apologetic. He has offered to seat us and our guests for free, and to "grovel in person" at that time. I will not be able to take advantage of this offer for some time, but I have raised the review from 1 star to 3 based on previous experience and his immediate response.

We experienced the best service from staff in a very long time. Customer service has fallen by the wayside unfortunately for the majority of respondents. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the service we received here. Along with wonderful tasting food this made our evening better than expected. Customer service always makes the decision if we return to an establishment.

Wonderful lunch! Stopped in to grab a bite before a movie, and it was great!! Food was great, portion was perfect and the waiter was GREAT! Will definitely be added to our date night rotation!!

This used to be a very nice place with authentic, chef-prepared dishes. However, our last couple of visits have been very different experiences. Now it's more like Cracker Barrel food covered in a sauce with a French name. The service ok, but not what we used to receive and not what you would expect at a place that looks and charges like a nice restaurant.

Unfortunately, I picked the chili and I really didn’t like the flavor at all. The salad was great. The service was very good.

What a surprise find on a recent trip! We sat on the outside patio and it was so peaceful. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The food was exceptional. We really enjoyed dinner and the portions were fantastic. We were especially lucky to have Landon wait on our table. He was personable, efficient, helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Had a reservation on Sunday at 1. Ordered food at 115. I had the salmon and shrimp with mashed potatoes and broccolini. My mother got the basic burger. We got our food at 235. The bacon on my mom’s burger was not fully cooked and was soggy. My salmon was dry and overcooked. Because we had somewhere to be at 3, we got our food boxed to go before it came out of the kitchen. If we had looked at our food before we left, we would have just said forget it. The most upsetting thing about it is that they had brunch going on which is buffet style so the kitchen should have been able to make out simple orders fairly quickly. We traveled from Charlotte and were really looking forward to our time here but I can assure you, we will not be back.
