No service, online ordering on table didn’t work. Took us 15 min to be able to place a drink order before dinner. Getting someone’s attention to be served wasn’t easy and the place was empty. Food was ok.

I used to really like to eat here. However, this place is on the decline which is evident by the lack of customers. The service is nearly non-existent with mandatory QR automated ordering. I did not receive one item I ordered (I’m sure I ordered it), and the server blamed it on my failing to place the order. I then asked for a manager, who stated that it was no longer possible to order the item and then she also blamed me. I then ordered another item, which I was of course charged for, and it arrived very late to the table as we had to leave for a show. Needless to say, I don’t think I’ll be returning this place anytime soon. And to add insult to boot after the bare service (blaming me for failing to properly order using QR code), the tip defaults to 22%?!! How ridiculous given there is almost no service and when I tried to ask for help the female server would look at me and the table like she was super annoyed for us bothering her. This place seriously needs to get a grip! And seniors or customers with eyesight issues need not even bother because they will not assist with this new QR ordering.

Had a fantastic dinner at City Tap in Penn Quarters for our company’s end-of-show gathering. The food, particularly the street corn dip and the Nashville Hot Cauliflower, was a big hit, arriving fresh and right on time. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff ensuring everyone at our table was well taken care of. This place made our evening very enjoyable, and I’m already excited to try more from their menu next time I’m in the neighborhood. Highly recommend for a group outing!

Food was good pub style . Large portions satisfied teenage boys. Service was fast and attentive. Majority of ordering is electronic. Noise level was at pub decibels.

Stop with the QR code stuff, it creates a poor dining experience, especially when your restaurant is already empty at 7:30 pm on a Friday night.

The food, staff and ambiance are great. My one complaint is their new QR code system of ordering. I don't mind using an app/QR code to place my food order at afast food, fast casual or for delivery. However, at a restaurant where I'm paying, on average, $30 or more per plate, the expectation is to have a server. Tips are shared among all servers, whether they're doing a good job or not. What's the incentive? And why am I even tipping if I've done most of the work?

Typical D.C. taproom layout. Ask that you scan and order from your phone. With specific drink and food requests that would be painful and slow. Staff was quick to step in and take order. Very friendly and helpful. Drinks were okay . My dinner salad was very tasty wife’s was average . Typical high volume noise. Nothing bad and if a resident would probably go again but as visitor would consider alternative next time.

The place was great. Food was great. A little weird how you have to order on phone and then waiter will deliver food. So no waiter at table but worked well overall
