Join us for an exciting evening with Kermit Lynch distributors! Chef JD has put together a five course dinner menu while Jennifer worked with International Wines representative Jonathan, as well as Dave of Vine on the perfect wine pairings. Price per person includes dinner and wine pairings. Other beverages, tax and gratuity are separate. You will not be charged via OpenTable. The credit card is to hold your spot for dinner. We made a reservation for a late lunch, yet we had to sit at the bar. I’ll admit I wasn’t happy about that. However, the food, service, atmosphere were superb!! We will be back soon.

All was fabulous but the chef has a heavy salt hand. However, it was a new menu and definitely going back to try it again!

We managed to luck into a late dinner reservation and wow! My husband got the shrimp and grits and it lived up to its reputation. My meal was equally as yummy as was our crawfish and onion appetizer. Our server was wonderful as was the rest of the staff. Looking forward to coming back!

Wonderful lunch menu with allergy friendly options. Service was great! Their drinks were fantastic. We were a party of six so they can easily handle larger groups.

Our second time at City Hrocery and it did not disappoint (except they were out of fried chicken). Professional friendly service in a lively atmosphere added to the overall experience.

I haven't been able to bring myself to dine at City Grocery since Terry Moon's passing, and did have a tear-up shortly after sitting when I looked at the cocktail menu. Terry always knew I'd ask him to mix up something pink and girly, and he nailed it every time. It hurt to know I'd never hear him say, "You got it, Sissy!" in that Midwestern twang. I never got to tell him both my twins chose colleges in spitting distance of his hometown. He actually passed when we were visiting both those schools. Anyway, City Grocery: Fantastic. It was like when John was in the kitchen. The server (I wish I remembered her name! Dark hair, septum and nostril piercing, super nice) made me a perfect, Terry-worthy cocktail of sweet pinkness. But the food! I usually get full and box up most things to have a fantastic lunch the next day. Not last night. I all but licked my plate of the blackened fish special over creamy spinach and fingerling potatoes, topped with trumpet mushrooms and butter sauce. I couldn't stop because it was just that good. And Mary-Reagan, pastry chef extraordinaire, knocked it out the park with that PB&J hand pie. I do have two regrets. One is not bringing a ballpoint pen to scribble some indecipherable pictures of the menu items. The other is taking so long to come back. I'll try not to make either mistake again.
