Great experience. Designed as a French bistro. We sat downstairs at the wine cellar. All of our dishes were fresh and wee prepared. Attention to detail was clearly evident. The appetizer consisted of mussels and a Cesar salad. Each was very enjoyable. Main courses of steak and fries (made in duck fat) and diver scallops accompanied with crisp pork belly, corn and mushrooms was fantastic. Desert consisted of a very tasty lemon cello cheese cake and creamy pistachio gelato. A great end to a wonderful meal. And of course a good bottle of wine. Highly recommend.

Almost everything was amazing! Food was fantastic, except the steak and that surprised me since the reviews for the steak frites are great. It wasn’t bad, just nothing special. Everything else was so delicious! Service and atmosphere were superb! Chairs are a bit uncomfortable for a leisurely dinner and it’s crowded so wait staff frequently bumped us, but it wasn’t more than a mild nuisance. Overall we loved it and can’t wait to go back! 🥰

Our greeter was fantastic and our bartender was phenomenal :). We sat at the bar for about 40 minutes as we checked in very early for our reservation but ended up sitting there beyond our reserved time and had to inform the host again that we needed a table (we were the only ones in the restaurant). Our waiter at the table was extremely nice and personable but was hardly there especially given how slow the restaurant was at the time. Lastly the trout I ordered was spiced in almost a candied lemon pepper way that tasted awful. I only ate about 1/4 of it and didn’t bother making the issue known in order to avoid being brought out something just as bad. Besides, it would have taken too long anyway given how little we saw out waiter after he took our order.

We love this place! Outstanding and friendly service in the bat. Enjoyed it so much we moved our dinner reservation to eat in the bar. Don’t miss the 1875s! We enjoyed the escargot, foes gras, and grilled octopus. We will keep coming back!!!

Fantastic experience overall, I could not recommend more. Our food came out in a timely manner and our sever referred to our table by name and even remembered the event we were coming for.

Circa 1875 is our go to date night location everytime we come to savannah. The food, service and cozy atmosphere brings you out of the hustle bustle of American Restaurants.

What an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in the door to paying our bill, this was a lovely meal. We mistakenly walked into the bar and were greeted by a friendly staff member who charmingly directed us to the restaurant side. We were seated downstairs (I would definitely recommend the lower level) and promptly given beverages and bread. Our server, Emily, was wonderful; cheerfully explaining our choices, making suggestions, and regaling us with the building’s history. We had French onion soup, the house salad, lavender chicken, ratatouille, amaretto cheesecake, and lavender crème brûlée- every one of them spectacular. All in all we had a great time. I would highly recommend Circa 1875.

Amazing food and service. A real french restaurant. We celebrated our sister’s BDay and all was perfect. The staff is so kind. A must go if you’re visiting Savannah.

Service was good and friendly. (Janet). Food was good but the Caesar salad was disappointing. Ambiance was very nice. Small, cozy spot. Good location.
