Christos is still great! A gem in the neighborhood for many years and doesn’t disappoint -when so many other places do. Great service! Great food!

Booked a reservation here for my mother's birthday recently. For starters, the service here is terrible. We waited more than an hour for our food, during the wait, a waiter approaches us and asks "are you guys ready for your food?". I was highly confused and was not sure how to respond, when we said yes, he replies "we usually don't bring out the food until guests are done with their appetizers, but its halfway done being cooked." Side note, the restaurant was no where near crowded, maybe about 4 occupied tables including us. Now the food, it does not taste good, steak was unseasoned, although had a nice internal temp. Mashed potatoes were salty, salad was bland, and the creamed spinach was sub par at best. For the money they charge, one would expect a better dining experience. Don't be fooled by the other ratings online as I was, I rated my overall experience a 4/10 and my mom told me 2.5/10. Needless to say I was very disappointed as I was trying to make this a special day to remember for her birthday.

This was my first dinner at Christos’s since my relocation to Astoria. Since I knew my friend liked steak as much as I do, we loved the major steak selections and, the 10 oz filet plus some nice sides. Aside from an overpriced Diet Coke ($6), We totally enjoyed our meal with outdoor seating, and I hope to return to Christos’s in the foreseeable future. Karina NYC

Went to celebrate a friend's birthday and drinks were great. Food was excellent and service was excellent as well. The one thing I would say they need to improve on is the bread. It should be served hot, ours was cold and I love bread. With it being cold it definitely takes away from the taste and makes it tougher. Lobster Mash excellent, steak excellent and even the brussel sprouts and also had oysters and ceasar salad was delicious; enough for 4 people. Would definitely go back and tell them to hold the bread.

We've started a tradition of celebrating birthdays at Christos. The meal never disappoints, and the service is wonderful. We were not rushed through our meal, and we had guidance when we wanted to try something new from the menu. We will continue to celebrate at Christos for years to come.

Everytime I come I feel so welcomed and the food and the staff is amazing. Can't wait till I go again.

table for two ordered two filet mignons, lobster mashed potatoes, garlic broccoli, shared caesar salad, baked clams appetizer and chocolate cake with scoop of vanilla ice cream. The clams were disappointing it did not taste fresh and was underwhelming. The salad was also disappointing in that I've had better at other steakhouses, The salad and dressing was not chilled as it should be. the dessert was nothing special and would pass on next time. I had brought a bottle of wine and the corking fee was $45 which I thought was excessive. The total bill was also excessive compared to other fine steakhouses.

This restaurant was excellent. The food was on point. The service was also wonderful. It's a restaurant that has been in Astoria for a very long time. If you don't live in the neighborhood or you do, please make it a point to visit this restaurant. I know you will not be disappointed.
