    Well, to begin with, we’ve been regular diners at Christiana’s over the years (going back 30years) and have always enjoyed it. Everything was a little off this year. Two of us had the fried fish special and the Trout was a heavily fried, perhaps deep fried mess. Terrible. I asked the waitress if it would lightly fried and she said yes. It was not. Also the fried chicken was dry and tasteless. Even the Spoonbread missed the mark. My Rummer was great and that got me through the dinner. The entertainment was a harpist and she was fine but sparse. I’m sorry to be negative, but the experience was below par. I know what par is for all of these Taverns.

    Great restaurant to dinner when in Williamsburg! Food was outstanding and it’s cool they have colonial period performers.

    Service was great. Server very attentive. Food was also very good. Salads were fresh. Crab cake dinner was a very large portion and filled with a lot of crab-not much filler. NY strip was tender and tasty although slightly overcooked. It is a lovely restaurant that conveys the feeling of a revolutionary tavern. Would definitely recommend.

    Christiana Campbell's is our favorite tavern to dine at in Colonial Williamsburg. Our visit on 7/24/24 certainly didn't disappoint! From the greeting we received from the hostesses, chatting with our friendly and knowledgeable server Amanda, listening to the songs from the minstrel, consuming our delicious meals and biding goodbye to fellow diners we met while there afforded us a wonderful experience (as usual)! Don't miss the Seafood Pye...it's amazing!

    Excellent way to experience 18th century dining. Menu choices are limited, but authentic to early tavern fare, and were delicious. Our waitress, Amanda, was very attentive and fun. A bit of musical entertainment was a plus.

    The quality of the service, the food, and the atmosphere makes up for the price. You want quality, you have to pay for it. Their Fish Pye is out of this world with scallops, shrimp, lobster.. all the goodies. It is definitely an experience you have to try at least once. The history behind the tavern is very charming and makes you appreciate the efforts of the people who came before us. Recommend!

    We made a reservation at Christiana Campbell's Tavern for our 25th anniversary. It was pricey, but it was TOTALLY WORTH IT! Our server was friendly and very knowledgable about the history of the tavern and the meal options. Every part of the meal was fantastic. We are vegetarians and my daughter is a fairly picky eater, but we had no issues finding enough to eat. The sweet potato muffins were amazing. The "spoon bread," which is something we'd never had before, was savory, and our server was able to give us the history of the dish. My daughter, son and I all had the "Potato Dumplings in the Italian Style," and we all raved about it. My daughter even had the "Pease Soup" and loved it. Everything about the evening was perfect - from the musician playing fiddle and recorder and filling us in on colonial musical tastes to the desserts made from heirloom recipes, I cannot say enough about it. It is two days later and the family is talking about how good it was, so I would recommend this eatery highly!

    Dining at Colonial Williamsburg’s restaurants is always pleasant and satisfying, and Christiana Campbell’s has always led the way in providing a welcoming, fun, and delicious experience. Wonderful cocktails, warm and tasty muffins and spoon bread, attentive service and delicious entrees (get the Crab Cakes!) - a perfect way to finish a day of touring CW.
