Food and service were exceptional. Crab cakes and fried chicken dinners exceeded expectations. Heather was very attentive and full of joy. Violinist was enjoyable! Highly recommend!

We had a delicious meal and excellent service from Alexa. The crab cakes were superb. The sweet potato rolls are yummy and the colonial tavern atmosphere was enjoyable.

We enjoyed the ambiance with music and candle light! The fried fish and chicken were delicious along with the apple pie and truffle. We’re from Louisiana so the food wasn’t seasoned to our taste but it was a true Williamsburg experience. Thank you Christina Campbell host.

Great experience. Food was delicious. A must if you are visiting Colonial Williamsburg.

The ambience was fabulous...quite loud. Our waitress, Stephanie, was amazing!!! She made our evening!!! The food was good not great.

We were seated promptly. Service was friendly and efficient. Dinner was excellent. The atmosphere is very colonial - a step back in time. We were entertained with a short narrative about Mrs Campbell and her family and by roving musicians. A very enjoyable evening!!

We had a nice quiet back room with one other couple and the delightful Stephanie for our waitperson. She efficient and entertaining and knowledgeable about food and history.

The food was so overpriced and not very good - the salad in particular was bitter and soggy, and the crab cakes were very fishy. Our meal was $175 for 2 people without alcohol and it was just as hard to stomach that bill as it was the food itself. We've been coming to Williamsburg for years and this is the worst meal we've had coming here. I won't be back.

We returned to CC's for the first time in 5 years and were not happy. CCs was always an "event" - the finest historical dining establishment in the Historic Area. We were unaware that the dress code was dumped completely and they'd shoved more tables in to accommodate the people in shorts and tshirts. It was loud, and everyone could hear each others conversations. The food, though good, was served in such small portions that we didn't walk away full at all. For instance, we were told the meals came with spoon bread, but when the meals were brought to us they brought one serving the size of a small teacup saucer and DIVIDED IT BETWEEN US! The service was the most positive aspect. They have reduced CCs to "just another tavern" except that instead of being justoverpriced it is WILDLY overpriced. There is no ambience or "specialness" left to it. If we are going to drop $275 on a meal (that was 2 meals, one appetizer, one dessert and 4 drinks) there are places around town where the customers appreciate atmosphere more than they do here anymore. We do not intend to return.
