    My hot appetizer came room temperature, the service was too slow, and the server was way too chatty and expressive. Our dinner lasted around two hours.

    This was Grand Illumination supper; the tavern was very busy. Although we arrived early, slow service prevented us from seeing the fireworks from the beginning. However, all staff and service providers were very courteous and polite.

    Outstanding! We dined at ith a 4:15 reservation on Dec 14. The service was delightful. The food was extraordinary! The specialty menu offered incredibly delicious options. We finished our meal and walked across the street to watch the Grand Illumination from the back of the Capitol building. No crowd and great fireworks. So so fun!!

    One of our favorite restaurants, an amazing personal experience as always! We celebrated our anniversary and they had a card and made us feel special and loved. The food is simply out of this world as well!

    The place was beautiful however the waitress wasn’t in the mood to serve. There was a problem told to us that the fryer was down so no fried chicken which was difficult for one of our guests… If the waitress had been more accommodating and kind the experience would have been much better! Disappointed

    From the moment we walked in we felt at home. Our server Stephanie was wonderful. She was very nice to talk to and the service was at a perfect pace. We had the salad, Seafood Pye, and the trifle and rum tart for dessert. We will be back to try the Laird’s punch! It was a wonderful evening.

    I was very underwhelmed with the quality and quantity of the main dish that I ordered. I would have expected a better prepared meal for the price that I paid.

    Extraordinary experience with superb seating in Alcove C, spectacular service & ambience! This was definitely one of the best we’ve had (our 3rd time here) and can’t wait to come back! Crab cakes were over-the-top & appreciated the flute player, historical snippets, etc.

    Christiana Campbells is an immersive Colonial dining establishment … candlelit, period furnished, and historically documented dining opportunity offering creatively modern dishes base on period food. We had crabcakes as one meal, potatoes in French style cream sauce with crab as the other meal. We greatly enjoyed both dinners, and left full enough that we did not end with desserts. For anyone seeking an honest Williamsburg dining experience, this is a great choice. And if you just want some good tasting food, try them.
