    This was my fourth time going to chima and my last. We sat and the waitress did not come to our table for a good 15 min. We didn’t get any water until the manager walked by and saw that we were just sitting there. Finally the waitress came by and briefly took my drink order. I got my drink 20 min later. She had about 7 tables to attend to.We literally had all the time in the world to count them. Never did we get refills for water and did not get the mashed potatoes we asked for. She was too busy with two big tables so we were not that important to her I guess. Didn’t want to check on us or be bothered. Horrible experience. Please safe you time and money and go somewhere else.

    Perhaps we caught them on a busy night. Downstairs was closed and upstairs was full when we arrived for our 7:30 reservation. Seated as a party of six at a back corner table, we noticed the frequency of the Gaucho's passing significantly decreased about 40-45 minutes into our meal. We were there for a 50th birthday celebration. Our server did not ask if we wanted additional drinks or additional anything, except for dessert, and only bread was placed on our table upon arrival and not again. We needed to search for our server to request the return of favorite meats and clean plates. This is my third time at this restaurant in two years. This was not a normal experience, but it was quite disappointing for a special occasion of which our server was made aware.

    Service was exceptional. Our server was so attentive she could tell my dad couldn’t hear well so she discretely walked to his corner to continue going over the menu. She put a candle in his bday dessert and made our anniversary special. The shrimp was delicious and the meats were perfect. On our way out my dad was looking at the bottles in the bar and we started conversation with team member behind bar and they very friendly and let us know about bar specials which we will try as we are in the neighborhood
