Le côté historique n'est pas seulement le thème du Chicago Chop House, c'est également le mode de vie. L'établissement a été impeccablement restauré. Cette maison victorienne centenaire composée de briques brunes transporte les convives dans le passé de la ville, lorsque les abattoirs, les politiciens, et les gangsters profitaient des chambres luxurieuses de la maison. Plus de 1 400 photos racontent l'histoire du vieux Chicago à travers trois salles à manger entourés par des murs illuminés. Il sert d'impressionnant steak d'aloyau certifié USDA Prime de 64 oz, des pièces de viande de 16 et 24 oz, et de réputées côtelettes de 24 oz reflétant les saveurs du premier âge. Le Chicago Chop House est aussi l'un des seuls restaurants à Chicagoland où il sert des coupes mishima, un boeuf unique et succulent connu pour sa saveur délicate et sa tendreté. What fine dining was meant to be! While in Chicago for just a night we thought we’d treat ourselves to a good dinner. We have a favorite steakhouse that we enjoy, and never miss a chance to eat there except for this time, a boy did we get a treat. We booked on OpenTable for an early dinner and arrived at 5:30 and were warmly greeted by the hostess who took us to what we believe is the best table in the house. There we were welcomed by Fanny our server who was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. She offered great suggestions for drinks, starters, and entrees. We were pleased to meet and interact with Carlos who assisted with taking care of us, and was delightful. Lastly, Victor stopped by to make sure all of our expectations had been met, and they had. The food was the star, fresh, delicious and memorable. After 11 years of coming to Chicago, we have a brand new favorite. Thank you all!

The quality of meat is excellent but the service not so good. No hellos or goodbyes , just like here’s your steak and leave . Not very friendly.

The food is fantastic. At a premium price, which was expected. The problem was the service. I expect much better at that level of an establishment.

When we first walked in we were greeted by the hostess. She was really nice and pleasant. We went to the 2nd floor where we had the perfect table with a view. I was celebrating my 41st birthday with my family and they made me feel so special by having my name on the menu. Now, let’s get into the food. We ordered a cosmo, which was made to perfection. The shrimp scampi and wagyu meatballs appetizers were both amazing and tasteful with a lot of flavor. The lobster bisque was just okay. It could have used a little bit more lobster and could have been hotter in temperature. The half roasted chicken with the fingerling potatoes packed some great flavor. It just needed a little bit more salt. The bone-in ribeye steaks were just okay. They needed some more seasoning to them and needed to be hotter in temperature but were cooked to perfection for medium well. I’m used to my steaks coming out on steaming hot platters/plates. The truffle Mac and cheese was amazing. I wish I had the recipe to make them at home daily lol. The Brussel sprouts were just okay, they lacked in flavor. Finally, let’s talk about the staff. Gabe and the other staff members were superb and the service was impeccable. We never had to ask for water. The attention to detail and service was beyond any place I have ever been to. Gabe was very detailed-oriented and precise in explaining the menu. He really knew the menu. The staff members made sure to pack up our leftovers in a timely manner and was very diligent in doing so. They even made my 2 year old feel special by having little conversations with him. Gabe ended the night with a complimentary celebration dessert, the crème brûlée. Which was so darn good! He took it a step further and added special instructions on how to prepare it when we arrived home since we were taking the leftovers of it. I can’t rave enough about Gabe. I will definitely return back just to experience this type of service again.

We had a wonderful meal and drinks at The Chop House this evening. Josh our server was fantastic and we would not hesitate to come back again and request Josh to be our server again. This was also our first time at The Chop House and I’m glad this is where we spent our Monday evening.

Dinner was fantastic, and the service was excellent! My husband and I had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. Although it was a bit chilly during the meal, even after we mentioned it, we still had a great experience overall. Thank you!

Ok this was a dinner to remember!! A must go!! The service was fantastic, but the food did not disappoint. Worth the money and they got everything spot on!
