Au milieu de la Petite Italie, le bistro Chez Joel reproduit les goûts et les arômes que l'on retrouve en France. Mettant en vedette des plats traditionnels, le chef Joel Kazouini propose une cuisine du sud de la France, simple et savamment préparée. L'atmosphère du restaurant Chez Joel rappelle l'ambiance d'un vrai bistro français avec ses murs ornés de tableaux français et ses tables recouvertes de papier de boucherie. Service a little slow, but it was restaurant week and the restaurant was packed. Food was great! Neighborhood gem.:)

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Chez Joel and tried The restaurant Week Menu. It was amazing! The food incredible, the service super professional (Omar was our server) I am still dreaming with the creme brulee. I will definitely be back.

Service impeccable. Warm Brie and calamari excellent. Seared scallops were fantastic and the steak perfect and chicken superb! Crème brûlée divine

Chez Joel is a charming small restaurant that I’ve been enjoying since I moved to Chicago in 2001. It’s always a lovely experience.

Our waiter Omar was professional, courteous, friendly, a great waiter. The food we chose restaurant week was absolutely delicious. We have been here many many times since we live in the neighborhood and it is a great ambience restaurant wonderful staff and waiters concierge. We will be returning back here again. The prices of your choice meals and a Great wine list are reasonable priced.

Chez Joel did not disappoint! Great food and service in a comfortable atmosphere. We will be back and certainly will enjoy outdoor dining in the summer!

I had an incredible experience dining here during Chicago Restaurant Week. The food and cocktail was well-prepared and tasteful. The menu had variety of choices. I loved the soup of the day, it was probably the highight of my meal. The staff was very attentive, kind, and professional during my first-visit. The atmosphere was so lovely. I would love to come here again!

One of the last traditional French restaurants that are becoming hard to find even in France. Great ambience. An excellent bartender—perfect cocktails. An adequate wine list. And excellent food. One of our favorite restaurants in Chicago
