Dear Friends, Welcome to our teahouse, where we present you the best of fine Asian tea culture.
The phrase ‘Chén Chè’ means ‘bowl of goodness.’ In addition to teas from around Asia, we offer traditional Vietnamese dishes and baked goods from our own bakery. Our dishes and sweets are all natural and free of MSG. Many dishes can be ordered for take-away as well.
Our teas not only taste great, but also boast healing properties. Many of the teas on our menu are discoveries from study trips to Asia, as well as time-honored family recipes. If you are interested in arranging a private tea-tasting event at Chén Chè, please consult your server or your waiter for information.

Beautiful atmosphere in the inner court. Excellent food. Price/Quality is ok. Unfortunately no card payment possible, only cash. That’s the reason for my 4 stars instead of 5.

We had a table outside. The place was very crowded, and the staff was completely overwhelmed and extremely unfriendly. They had no control over the situation whatsoever. When we arrived at the entrance to the outdoor area, we were rudely ordered back into the queue. The tone was commanding, even though a colleague of ours was already sitting at the table waving to us. Had someone been stationed at the entrance, we could have simply mentioned that we had a reservation. The tone was incredibly unfriendly. Once seated, we were asked to move again 30 minutes later, along with our drinks, to another table of the same size in the corner. Another couple had also reserved that table, arriving after us but leaving shortly after looking at the menu. One of our orders was forgotten as well. While some of this might be understandable in a busy restaurant, the tone and the way we were treated made us feel like we were causing trouble. In the future, we will choose restaurants where the staff is polite. There are plenty of them in Berlin.

Allein schon der Gang in den Hinterhof zum Eingang des Restaurants, lässt einen sofort die Hektik und den Trubel der Rosenthalerstraße vergessen. Im Restaurant ist man erstaunt von der Größe und zugleich von der Ruhe. Wenn man sich dann auch noch in den Garten setzt, der einem Bambushain gleicht, ist man in einer anderen Welt und möchte nicht mehr aufstehen. Und ich habe noch nicht einmal von dem tollen Essen und dem süßen Teetablett erzählt. Den Rest müsst ihr selbst herausfinden. Ob es sich lohnt? Auf jeden Fall!!
