Absolutely delightful 21st birthday celebration for our son. Chris (our waiter) was fabulous. Food was just splendid.

We went to Chateau Morrisette for dinner on a Saturday evening to celebrate our 7th anniversary. We arrived 15 minutes early and were promptly greeted at the door. We were asked to sit in a reception area until our table was ready; we waited only 5 minutes. When we got to our table, our server Chris greeted us and asked to take our drink order. Not really wine drinkers, he suggested a nice beer. He got the beers and then took our order. Our entrees (Russian steak and stuffed chicken breast) arrived and were very delicious. After dinner we ordered the creme brulee. This was the only disappointing aspect of the evening. I told our server Chris the brulee was burnt and made it too bitter to enjoy. Also, the creme part texture was too loose and tasted sour...not enjoyable. Chris said he would be removing the dessert from our bill. Besides the wonderful ambiance and entrees, what impressed us most was the 5-star service we were treated to that evening. While Chris was our "main" server, at least three other people took care of us by removing dirty dishes, taking the dessert order and bringing it to us, and handling the check. This is what fine dining is supposed to be like and to find in in SW Virginia is a treat! I highly recommend going there to experience their stellar service and exquisite food. Thanks Chris and the Chateau Morissette team for making our anniversary dinner special.

Another delicious meal in the mountains. After a trip to the tasting room next door, we selected our favorite bottle and enjoyed the lovely afternoon on the patio sipping then headed over to the restaurant. We were greeted warmly by Robert, who is always so kind, gracious, and helpful. The cheese ball app and salads were hearty and tasty, and entrees of boar shank and stuffed chicken were terrific! I especially love the accompanying sauce and veggies used in the entrees. They were serving my favorite dessert, panna cotta, with a chai twist that was refreshing. Loved the tarragon accent! So, until next time…

Roasted Brussel sprouts were amazing as were the beets. Crème brûlée was yummy. Wait staff were great.

Food was amazing and wonderful. We enjoyed the ribeye steak and blackened tuna. Along with some great wine and desserts. Definitely will return.

This is absolutely the best dining experience…every time we go! The food is exceptional! Chef Oshie never disappoints. Brussels sprouts are an amazing appetizer with whipped feta and sumac (not the poison!😉) The shrimp and grits were extraordinary with a roasted red pepper sauce! The duck confit was the best we’ve ever had! And the portions are generous. The food never disappoints here! There is also a great variety of wonderful wines! 😉 The staff is top notch! Gunnar does a great job managing this beautiful restaurant. The views are stunning. Ashley is amazing with reservations. So helpful! Robert, Sadie and Chris were there for our every need and our server, Megan, was great!! She was the perfect mix of attentive without being intrusive. Her timing was impeccable. Always ready with whatever we needed. We have had this experience every time we dine there. And a trip to the winery is also delightful. Mr. Ray and Melissa are the best! This is the gold standard of establishments. Always exceeds our expectations!
