The service remains high level but the food quality has gone downhill since I was here earlier in the year. I typically have eaten here 5-6 times a year over the last 7 years so feel o have a good handle on the what the restaurant has to offer. Last night things were off for a high priced steakhouse: no blue cheese olives for martinis, prime rib only available cooked medium or more, steaks were not the same quality. I agree first world problems but at these prices everything should be near perfect.

Our sever Cody was amazing! Overall the food was great with an exception of the crab cakes- they were dry and not a lot of crab. That being said the steak was amazing and the potato puree was to die far. Dessert was also delish. We will be back next time we are on Reno!

I would not sleep on this restaurant if given the opportunity to go for a meal! Without a doubt, this was the best French onion soup and prime rib that I have ever experienced with so many layers of flavor and perfectly prepared. The accompanying mashed potatoes were outstanding as well, and all washed down superbly with a glass of Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon.

The food is always good, the service is good. I didn't give 5 stars because they took away the creamed spinach from the menu. Every steak house I go to serves creamed spinach. It's a must have. Please bring it back.

The food was excellent and the staff were very nice. A little surprised at the cost but it was a very nice evening and enjoyable experience.

I've been coming to this steakhouse for my birthday the last 4 years. The first 3 years I had donnavin who is amazing. This year was the first with Forrest and he made my birthday dinner amazing. He was kind, knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly. If donnovan is not available I will definitely request Forrest the next time in at gsr chatlie palmer steakhouse. I will definitely return next year for my birthday, if I am able to.

well it was underwhelming…the meat was just ok, the sides were not so good. the broccolini was poor and the beans not much better. whipped potatoes were tasty. we did like the wine, though the waitress poured the first glass of wine on the table spilling the wine on the only clean shirt I had. Lucky for me the red wine ended up all over her and the white on me. all the luck. they did comp the wine and dessert..for $300 before tip it seemed very overpriced for what it was.

For the price of the food the 4 of us felt that the food was very mediocre. Chicken overdone with no flavor. My husband’s pasta was a mix of noodles not cooked enough and the shrimp hard.
