Chapter One est un restaurant européen moderne situé juste à l'extérieur de Orpington dans le Kent. Went for Sunday lunch. The sirloin of beef was beautifully cooked and came with all the trimmings. The fish was moist and the skin crisp. Overall, both meals were very good. Wine was reasonably priced.

The food is excellent and, without wishing to sound pretentious, it’s not just about eating food, but "experiencing" it and enjoying subtle flavours. The service is good too. It is pricey, but then, it’s a Michelin star restaurant and you’re getting what you pay for.

Visited with my wife to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. What a great place this is, superb service, great food and a lovely atmosphere. £157 which included a lovely bottle of Prosecco. We will be back at Christmas.

We had to rearrange our booking several times due to illness, but so pleased we eventually made it to Chapter One! From the moment we arrived the service was wonderful, the food and wine were amazing and we can’t wait to return. Thank you so much for making our night so special!

Chapter One has been getting better and better recently. I don't know what has changed in the kitchen, but today's starters and mains were really top notch and the Coravin options on the winelist allowed a silky Pauillac to accompany. This restaurant is becoming a very credible alternative to central London dining. Staff are great too.

The whole dining experience was exceptional, service, food and drinks although I think for the price of wine it should a 250ml measure.
