Despite the slight wait, we were sat on our table and had a lovely time. All that we ordered was delicious. I recommend the Rib Eye with wild mushrooms and potatoes. It had a nice decor and ambiance that allowed me and my brother to talk in peace. I recommend giving this place a try.

Our booking was at 7.30 on 17.9.24. When we arrived there at 7.32pm, there were a group of people by the reception waiting to be welcomed. We joined them. There was nobody at the reception. I asked a passing waiter what was going on and he said we would be attended to. A few minutes later a young woman, receptionist arrived. I told her we had a booking at 7.30. She found the booking and asked us to wait so that they could prepare the table. Our table for 2 was by the window. Although other tables had tablecloths, ours did not have any. I asked the receptionist why we did not have a tablecloth and she said: "Because this is a marble table!" We were given menus but not a cocktail menu for which we had to ask. We sat down and immediately we both noticed that the Marble was dirty with sticky stains from previous occupants. We did not complain. The restaurant was so noisy that it was almost impossible to hold a conversation. My friend developed a headache. Our waiter was a very pleasant Italian man, called Donatello. He took the order. However, he brought our starter and the cocktails at the same time without giving us time to enjoy our cocktails. Cecconi's used to be a good restaurant. I will not go back and will not recommend it either. The starter, calamari was rubbery but the main course of salmon and the sorbet were good.

Love love love love Cecconi’s and go often but the food was below average today. Felt as if the chef was on holiday. We still had a great day but definitely not up to it’s usual standard

I’ve been many times and again I am not disappointed! It was a great meal and glad I booked it again to take my parents. Our waiter was accommodating and lovely- please thank him again for us!

We were a group of three who had been to the old Cecconis. We were shocked by the new vibe. Very noisy and poor quality food. The carpaccio was more like a beef paste smothered in rocket to disguise the lack of beef. One of our group tried two pastas both of which were inedible and horribly chewy. I had the crab ravioli which was passable. The vitello tonnato was overwhelming and smothered again in extra stuff. The only saving grace was that the restaurant offered us free cocktails as the table was delayed by almost half an hour. We will not be back. Loved the old place, hated this new iteration.

The staff as always are so attentive….it was my daughter’s 18th birthday yesterday and they helped. make it a wonderful time for her !! Thanks

Just the ticket for a Sunday afternoon at 4pm. When most restaurants are shooing out the lunch crowd and setting up for evening service, Cecconi's is open all day, is in a great location, has a busy buzzy crowd, all topped off by a high standard of cooking and service and a good wine list. Loved it.
