The food took forever to come out. When it finally did it was cold. They remade it which once again took a long time. Service was inattentive.

We had let our server know we weren't quite happy with the salmon but he didn't care and bringing the food out took forever.

Delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed each and every dish. Great energy in the restaurant as well.

Arrived to the rooftop and wrote in my reservation notes to sit outside and the host said she doesn’t know how long the wait is for a table outside… well you have the open table app and can approximate the guest turn time by seeing what course they’ve been on and how long they’ve sat. So we sat indoors. We had view of an outside table empty but decided to just start our dinner. The two tables next to us were empty and had couples sit next to us after 10/15 minutes. Finally a waitress comes by takes our drink orders. Nobody took our food order for another 10 minutes but the two tables had a manager a man with dark hair in a suit come over and take their orders before ours. Now we were getting annoyed. Then after another 5 minutes or so passed a waitress took our food order. And the two tables next to us received their drinks before us. Finally after another 15 minutes all our food came out at once. While the tables surrounding us seemed to have dishes coursed or paced out. Irritated by it all we were annoyed we couldn’t sit outside while that empty table was visibly unsat for the whole duration of our dinner. 15 minutes go by with us not getting our empty plates removed so I started to stack the dishes to make space. Finally a busser comes over to remove them in one clean swoop because I made it easier for them. No acknowledgment was made. You would think when guests start stacking plates is because no one’s cleaned their table for awhile and they need space. It’s unpleasant to sit with dirty dishes. Finally a new waiter came over asked us if we wanted dessert we said the hit me dessert please. That took another 15/20 minutes to come out. The runner drops the hit me plate in the middle but faces the hit me chocolate sign neither to my guest or to me while we were ready to record. I stopped him and said sorry I just want to turn this plate where it’s facing at least one of us. Then he proceeded to pour the table side chocolate. Over all this was horrible. Tipped 15%.

Upon arrival we were greeted outside the venue by a gracious and welcoming gentleman. When we took the elevator to the 4th floor the noise level was horrifying. The hostess was totally rude and spoke so quietly we could barely hear her. We waited 30 minutes for our table for no reason except they clearly don’t get the point if making reservations. Once seated outside without even being given a choice of in or out, the noice level was actually better. The food is very good but not outrageously good however the prices are outrageous for the tiny portions. You could not pay me to go back. Of all the trips to New York we have taken that experience was terrible considering the amount of food you get for at least 30 to forty percent more than it should have been. They also claim to have a dress code, however, upon arrival it looked like we walked in to a Shake shak based on the baseball caps and shorts people were wearing. Acts like a classy place but truly is not. Catch in LA is by all means an amazing experience which inspired us to try Catch NYC. Total let down and lowlight of our NYC visit.

I'm a fan of Catch for dinner. This was my 2nd visit for Brunch and was underwhelmed. Service was ok... passable. Some of the waitstaff lacked enthusiasm, and it seemingly trickled into the attention received. Our flatware wasn't the cleanest (knives were dirty). And a pasta dish I've always ordered for dinner tasted vastly different. Way too dense with cream and cheese. The vibes on the rooftop were nice, but the main brunch dishes didn't meet our expectations for Catch.

It doesn’t matter what time your reservation is, you will have to wait at least 30 minutes. That part of the dinning experience was horrible; however, the food was amazing.
