Your host Roberto Ercolani comes to Sarasota from Rome, Italy, bringing the best and most delicious authentic Italian dishes to this area. He has been in the restaurant business since his youth. As co-owner of CasAntica, Roberto provides a refined and unique Italian culinary boutique atmosphere.
The restaurant occupies a 1926 historic home nestled among the trees on the edge of downtown Sarasota. Patrons may choose indoor or outdoor dining (weather permitting), always the perfect setting... exclusive, romantic and intimate.

Miryana was an excellent server as she always is. The veal saltimboca was EXCELLENT and our request for service to be a little speedier to make our FST curtain was graciously accommodated.

Cas Antica‘s authentic marinara sauce is as good as it gets. The bruschetta is excellent.

I had the pollo Alla fiorentina which was outstanding. However, it was not served with any side dish. A little bit of pasta is inexpensive and would have rounded out the meal nicely. Also they didn’t have much wait staff.

Delicious fried calamari! Nice and peppery. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese and my husband had the Chicken Parmesan with pasta and we both loved our entrees! Thoughtful and attentive staff. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant!

A charming venue with lots of of Old World vibe. the atmosphere is top notch, the matir'd was not. There was some confusion with the check in computer system, and that seemed to require us to stand in the doorway as the staff dealt with the computer and not us, the patron, who was left to stand around. Most unwelcoming. inside, we could not be seated on the first floor as "all 6 tables were Reserved" - and were forced to climb an old set of stairs to the second level, which is not ideal at our age, and unexpected. about an hour and a half later, as we came back down to leave, 4 of those empty tables were still not occupied. Food was acceptable for Sarasota standards. No Beef on the Menu, strictly pasta and seafood with some chicken and veal dishes.

We love this restaurant, but we were disappointed that they only had a limited menu for Valentine’s Day. Our waitress Sophia was fantastic and had a wonderful sense of humor. Wine and the food was delicious and prepared to our liking. The only negative is if you ask for more bread they charge you for it. We probably wouldn’t go back on any type of holiday or anything like that.

Great location & ambience. They were very accommodating adding chairs. Unfortunately the service was not very good & small food portions with no food presentation.
