Le Carriage House propose des repas à la carte en semaine en dehors des soirs de représentation. Il sert également une formule aux clients du théâtre Paper Mill situé juste en face avant le spectacle. Le chef cuisinier renommé Holly Guber est fier de diriger cet établissement récemment rénové, qui ouvre indépendamment du théâtre. Our dinner was delicious. I especially loved the lemon sole oreganata. I hope that’s on the menu for the next show in December.

Really enjoy going there before a performance. Aside from being totally convenient, it’s a really nice place to enjoy a pre-show dinner. Love dining in the Loft section, cozy but not tight, relaxed, and the food is awesome. Service is excellent, can’t say enough about that. Welcoming, friendly, just very cool. Almost has a NYC cool charm to it, but way, way better. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the girl who took care of us, but we’ve been there a few times this year and she actually remembered us and welcomed us back…just adds to the great experience and charm of the place. Prefixe menu for shows (but you can still order off the bar menu if you want), but still a great selection to choose from and everything was incredible…apps, main course, dessert and drinks.

The menu at Carriage House is creatively curated to align with the show playing at the playhouse next door. This lunch had an Italian theme to align with Jersey Boys and the dishes were executed perfectly. They were also beautifully presented, especially the salmon plate. Each member of our six-person group was very happy with their selections, especially the fish dish (sole) which was described as "the best I have ever had". The service was excellent, especially so given how busy the restaurant was pre-matinee. The dining rooms are charming.

The best thing about this place was the $12 French fries. Yikes!

The food was terrible. No one in our party enjoyed their meals. The waiter was also bad. He has to be told by us to bring appetizer plates and then to clear them before our food arrived. We had to call him over for everything as he never checked if we needed anything! The piano player was awesome though…which is why we went in the first place.

We love dining at the Carriage House for every show we attend at the Papermill and the Summer Nights cabaret shows. The food is always wonderful and the staff and ambiance are excellent! We have been patrons of the Papermill for many years and we always dine at the Carriage House - it’s the perfect combination for a great evening!

We came for one of the live piano nights, and as luck would have it there just so happened to be a singer there attending a program at the Paper Mill Playhouse with a fabulous voice! Everyone on the staff is very welcoming, and the food was excellent as well! Highly recommend, just be sure to check what the planned activity is for the evening.

I could not have been more impressed. We arrived not realizing it was Jazz Thursday and we were. promptly seated in an area away from the music when we explained we were not fans of jazz. (And if you enjoy jazz, I am sure you would love Thursday nights!) I often feel service is not attentive on in many restaurants, but the staff at the Carriage House are exemplars of hospitality. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The chef was delightful and stopped by to share some interesting tidbits. We can’t wait to go back!

Overall, a lovely experience. I had the steak, which was cooked perfectly. My guest had the pork, which he didn’t care for, more a personal thing than a criticism.
