Le restaurant Luxurious Capriccio, taillé dans les caves d'un coin renommé du quartier financier de la ville de Providence, est situé le long de la Riverwalk, au croisement des rues Dyer et Pine. Il a longtemps été réputé comme un haut lieu de la capitale pour ses dîners aux chandelles raffinés et son code vestimentaire exigeant "où les habitants de la ville tout comme les touristes sont délicieusement dorlotés." Can always count on capriccios to deliver a great night. Everyone from Carl the valet to Sal the owner/manager - Great food , great service every time ! One of the true RI experiences that is still amazing every time.

Love Capriccios for special occasions, food is always great and the service is always amazing. The atmosphere is quiet and romantic. My wife and I Love Capriccios.

Overpriced and bad service. Got a $55 beef Wellington that was soggy and small. Not to mention it took about an hour to come out. When the prices are in this range, the service should be great, and the meal should be outstanding. This just wasn’t worth it, left the restaurant hungry and disappointed after spending a lot for 2.

I’m so disappointed in my experience dining for the first time at Capriccio. I booked this reservation with high hopes—romantic ambiance of the main dining area, craft cocktails, table side flambé and a top-tier dining experience. From the beginning valet was unnecessarily rude, and yes, I get it—it was snowing. But that’s no excuse to act like a d***. After finally getting inside, I expected to be seated in the beautifully decorated, ambient-lit area I saw online. Instead, we were exiled to a sad, low-ceilinged backroom, lit up like a doctor’s office, featuring about four tables and some half-hearted Valentine’s Day decorations that looked like they were from the discount bin at Party City. Despite the lackluster atmosphere, our server was great—friendly, knowledgeable, and the only saving grace of this meal. I asked for the cocktail menu, and I was informed that because it was a Valentine’s Day night (again, this was February 15th), there was no cocktail menu. I was able to get a Lemon Drop because I knew the name of the drink. Then came the food. My boyfriend ordered a $60 steak medium well (yes, I know, but to each their own), and it arrived very pink—medium-rare. Kitchen also forgot his truffle fries also, which didn’t show up until he was practically done with the steak. My gnocchi? Mushy and bland. We did eat it, was not horrible but was not good. By this point, I was still holding onto hope for dessert, the main reason I came. I had my heart set on their flambé crepes—a tableside experience that should have been on their Valentine’s Day menu. Make that make sense that your signature cocktails and desserts are unavailable on a holiday. For a place that charges premium prices, I expected a premium experience. We made the best of it but spent over 300$, mostly on drinks. Instead Capriccio gave me, “we overbooked for Valentine’s and are still recovering” Would I return? Only if I sat in the main dining area and if they have their full menu.

I was taken to an ugly backroom that did not have the same energetic vibe of the front. I saved up for months to buy a dinner for me and my girlfriend for Valentines day. Our food took a long while to reach us and your staff was rude. When I asked for the check from the man poring our water he remarked, "Do I look like your waiter?!" and checked before commenting, "What? You think two white dudes look alike?" Absolutely unacceptable

Our server, Nick, was amazing. It took forever to get our appetizers and our meal. Even Nick had to repeatedly apologize for the delay. Except for the oysters Rockefeller - which were amazing - the food was just okay. Not worth the price.

Delicious appetizers and entrees, with a beautiful atmosphere. Service was top notch even during a packed house for Valentine’s Night dinner. I will be back! My favorites included the grilled prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and the veal parmigiana.

Our service was so bad, words cannot express. It was valentines and we had looked forward to the reservation for quite a while. The decor was beautiful… that was it. Our server didn’t just lack personality, but he was incredibly slow. 20 minutes between each time we would see him. Our appetizer dishes sat stacked on our table for almost 15 min. Water glasses and Prosecco empty almost the entire evening. We watched tables around us come and go. The food was nothing to rave about, especially at those prices. I ordered the egg batter halibut - which was just a buttery mess. Honestly, with the competitiveness in restaurants today, this was a disappointment for sure. We told our waiter we wanted to order a drink and dessert (lots of room in the bellies because we didn’t bother finishing our food). Didn’t see the waiter for 20 min. Decided just to cash out. The wait times we experienced started having us feel claustrophobic and irritable. Not a great start to the evening. I would not recommend
