Went for brunch on Sunday to give it a try. The service was slow and disorganized. While our server had a good personality, it took 15-20 minutes for them to greet us, and they didn’t spend much time at our table. A pleasant woman, who wasn’t our server, took our drink orders, and later, another person brought us water but spilled half of it on the table. The water glasses weren’t polished and had visible dishwasher residue. The smoked salmon appetizer was good, but the entrees were just okay—heavy and nothing to rave about. The restaurant felt outdated and was completely silent, with no background music, just the sound of servers laughing loudly. We went because it was highly rated on OpenTable, but we're not sure why.

The only problem was the little cubed potatoes that were pretty obviously out of a plastic bag, and not very good, nor were they “hash browns” at all

Lovely staff. Limited brunch options with one off-menu special. Traditional southern fare with a fantastic view of the river. I will return to try dinner - the menu seemed more comprehensive.

Reserved a table for 930pm which was the last one available and we felt rushed the whole time which I didn’t like at all. The food was delicious but I would have enjoyed it better if we weren’t rushed.

We were married here 10 years ago and it was absolutely fabulous and beautiful. Canoe did an impeccable job with our wedding. We come back every year to celebrate our anniversary and this was our 10th! We sat outside on the patio which is so beautiful and peaceful. We had the most delicious meal, perfectly paced, with a server who gave the right amount of attention but also left us time alone to reminisce. Our server was attentive to all of my dietary restrictions and allergies, and the chef accommodated my requests. We walked around the grounds afterwards and enjoyed the beautiful gardens alongside the Chattahoochee river. Such a magical and amazing place and some of the best food in Atlanta. We love Canoe.

I took my girlfriend there for a date. We arrived before seating started and were told that we could wait at the bar. They have a great selection and feature a lot of local beer and spirits as well as national. We were the only ones sitting at the bar and Ty (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was a great bartender and conversationalist. After a few minutes they came and took us to our table where we were sat in James’ section. James was very attentive throughout but not overly so and allowed us to enjoy our food and each other’s company. He was very knowledgeable when it came to the food and we ended up taking his suggestions for the entrees. Now the food. Wow. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the peppercorn crusted kangaroo appetizer, and a trout special and roasted halibut for our entrees. At first bite my girlfriend and I both looked at each other and basically moaned. It was to die for. I would absolutely go back there and eat again.
