To be honest it was a bit underwhelming. The reception and service personnel were excellent. The meals were nice but far from stellar. Was probably expecting too much. The French Onion soup was delicious. The presentation was cute but gimmicky. The aubergine salad was okay but nothing special. The mains were good. Dessert and cheese plate were very good. The city lights at night and the skyline and the sunset are the best part of the evening. So location of the restaurant is wonderful. So the ambience came from what is outside the windows. The restaurant is very noisy - can't be helped because of the design. Energetic is a nice way of saying "noisy resto" On a Monday night, the place was packed and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Disappointed in the food. Lobster was overcooked. Steak didn’t have much flavor. French fries were dry. Cocktails were too sweet. Wasn’t worth the money at all. Would not return

Fantastic meal to celebrate my son's birthday. The flat iron steak and veal schnitzel were both excellent and the truffle fries were wonderful!

View, ambiance and service were exceptional. The server did such a wonderful job describing the tasting menu. Unfortunately, that’s where the good experience ended. Just because you can put certain ingredients on the plate and call it a culinary experience, doesn’t mean you should, particularly if it doesn’t taste good. The flavours were muddled. There was no depth of flavour. The food was quite pretentious and unfortunately the taste did not live up to the hype. The pastry chef saved the day with interesting, flavourful dessert and the petit fours. Half of our party ended feeling sick after dinner. Would not recommend. Will not be returning.

George at the bar was great! Such amazing service. One tiny suggestion… bigger or more crostini with the tartare.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The presentation of our dishes excellent. The flavours memorable. Superb service. When in Toronto I will return to Canoe.

Fantastic dinner at Canoe. Such a consistently excellent restaurant. We had the Lobster raviolo - amazing - then the partridge which is superb (check out the instagram video on how its done) and the tuna (also terrific) - then for dessert the peach was the winner but only just as the desserts are always brilliant. Large portions and sooooo tasty. Chefs Rob and Raph (Chef Ron was away) and team are doing an excellent job in helping lead Toronto's fine dining scene with innovation and the best of local ingredients showcasing Canada.
