Superbly wonderful. They bend over backwards to please you without hovering. We enjoy a medium expensive wine and the tasting menu. We were never rushed. Couldn’t believe that three and a half hours went by. We did add a coffee and Port. This was my second time and will find an excuse to return to Toronto just to dine here again.

As always. The lovely view. The interesting food choices. The nice staff. Canoe is a great place for a special meal.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary there. The staff were all very friendly & knew it was our anniversary before we got there. The card on the table was a nice touch. Our hostess Emily was excellent, very friendly, interested and full of recommendations -- she offered us desert on the house & picked our desert based on what taste we were looking for. The food was excellent & each course was accompanied by an explanation of what it is & the best way of eating it. The Canadian Red Wine recommended to us was perfect also. The views from the 54th floor are excellent & plenty of picture opportunities. To cap it off, we slipped into the bar after the meal for a quiet bottle of white wine while looking at the views. Excellent evening, highly recommend Canoe. We will be back to try the teasting menu next time!

Many times restaurants that are up high in big cities and boast amazing views are mediocre. So my expectation was moderate. I was impressed with Canoe and can’t wait to return when I next visit Toronto. The food was inventive,beautiful and delish! Try the scallop- it comes served in a “shell” sealed with puff pastry. The glassware was top notch which may seem like an odd comment but when you’re paying $24 for a cocktail you want it to be special. Speaking of bar list that would be my only negative. Wine by the glass is 5 oz. Period. From $20-34 a “glass”. I chose a local Sauvignon Blanc which I know sells for $26 a bottle. It was $20 for 5 oz. This mark up is disappointing. And it seems a bit cheeky to charge me for “bread for the table” - 4 slices of bread with butter. Dinner for 2 including tip- $465 CAD-2 drinks, 2 Appy, 2 mains, 2 very yummy deserts! Go! Expect to pay $$ and enjoy! I loved it.

I thought that this maybe one of the best restaurants I have been to in Toronto yet! Everything about it was superb! I highly recommend the tasting menu. It’s also nice because you can hear the people at your table and that’s rare in restaurants these days.
