I won’t hesitate to spend another birthday there again. I will certainly book Canoe for future gatherings with my family. Outstanding service and food. Thank you for the fantastic birthday dinner and may I say the deserts were second to none. We tried all 5 and were astonished at the taste and presentation of the deserts!

Ballcaps, t-shirts, shorts and slippers don't belong. Not sign of coolness, just poor judgement and bad aesthetics. Typical of Toronto crowd. Have a dress code. Jackets mandatory.

Early dinner before the film festival. We were treating to the sun setting over Toronto and Lake Ontario. The food was amazing and our waiter was charming and informative. Food was explained when it was delivered. Beautiful presentation and wonderful tastes. Great cocktails too. It’s pricey but worth it especially for a special occasion.

Canoe Restaurant offers a great dining experience with excellent service and atmosphere. However, my interaction with the hostess, Natalie, left me with a negative impression. We received her call and let her know that we would be five minutes late due to parking issues, but her tone over the phone was quite unpleasant. When we arrived, she showed no smile or warmth, and there was even a hint of disdain in her attitude. She then turned around and started laughing and chatting with her colleagues. Given that it was a special occasion, we chose not to make a scene, but this experience really dampened what would have otherwise been a perfect dining experience.

Enjoyed the Canoe but was disappointed we did not have a window table despite requesting one ahead of time with an out of town guest visiting. Literally, every other guest in the restaurant had a window table except for the three of us in the otherwise empty inner section. The rest of the evening was great as always.

Food presentation and taste was outstanding! Waitstaff very knowledgeable about menu, and the view over the city was stunning. Atmosphere was fun and trendy. Highly recommend.

Incredible experience ordering the tasting menu and wine pairings. Our server Stephen was absolutely delightful, engaging and entertaining. The food was a journey for the senses and I would definitely return to experience a fresh tasting menu.

From the 3 lovely hostesses, our server, and the chef, the entire experience was smooth and natural. We dined with our baby which can sometimes be overwhelming, but we enjoyed the tasting menu and wine pairing in a timely manor. Everyone was well accommodating! The flavors were impactful and impressive. The desserts were delicious and memorable! Great evening, will be back!

I visited your restaurant yesterday, and as a food influencer active in Toronto, I have to be honest—I was quite disappointed. I initially made a reservation for 7 PM by the window, but then I was told it would be difficult to get a window seat at that time. So, I changed my reservation to 5 PM. When I arrived, the blinds were down until almost 8 PM, and we couldn’t see any of the views. I understand it might be because of the sunset, but if you’re going to keep the blinds down for two hours, what’s the point of coming to this restaurant? You need to rethink this from a management perspective. The two guys explaining the dishes had such poor pronunciation that I couldn’t understand a word they were saying. Seriously, you should listen to them yourselves! I was shocked that you have people with such bad pronunciation explaining the food in a fine dining setting. Another thing that was baffling: we hadn’t even finished our main courses, but the dessert was brought out early. Who serves a course meal like that? Rushing us through the experience and bringing plates before we’ve finished—what kind of service is that? I spent about 500 CAD, and I don’t think this level of service is acceptable. I hope the manager takes this seriously, re-trains the staff, and rethinks how to run the restaurant.
