Capture a magical moment of Niagara-on-the-Lake’s past as you dine in one of its most historic buildings. The four-diamond Cannery Restaurant of today is reminiscent of its former life as a canning factory in the 1800s, where Niagara peaches and tomatoes were canned until 1957. Its agricultural past has been lovingly retained in its décor of rough hewn wooden beams, rich red brick walls and a hearth at the heart of the restaurant. Chef Mark Longster continues to serve up the best of the region in his menus which feature the freshest local produce and fine wines. Charming and casual Cannery Restaurant is the place to find all your favorites, from succulent steaks to catch of the day to a fabulous Sunday brunch. Chef Longster's food is prepared and presented perfectly, for your ultimate dining experience.

Overall, I thought the experience was very similar to The Keg where I usually get my steak dinners. However, I'm not a huge fan of truffle dishes. I much prefer The Keg's garlic mashed potatoes. We also had a great server. I think her name was Carol (?).

The Cannery is a world of its own. From start to finish the food and service are awesome. This was not our first time, we just keep returning and always we find nothing changes except maybe menu items, otherwise everything no matter how small, the attention to detail is a given, warm and welcoming as always. We are foodies who have travelled the world where ee have dined at Michelin star restaurants that most often are disappointing, either food or service or both. Here in Niagara on the Lake, tucked away on a wuiet residential street, is the Cannery, the Pillar and Post’s fine dining restaurant, a place that never fails. Kudos to Team Cannery, you are the Best of the best. See soon!

We went to the Cannery restaurant for their Sunday buffet. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience - from the ambience, mood of the room, the food itself, service and the noise level. We would definitely return.

Food was excellent. The braised short ribs so tender are a must try. Derek was awesome and made our anniversary dinner extra special

We celebrated our friends 30th Anniversary and had the perfect experience. We were kindly greeted at the entrance and promptly seated. We had a wonderful server who gave us exceptional service. All our meals were delicious and we appreciated they all arrived together and the presentation was perfect. Looking forward to our next experience there.

The salmon and chicken dishes were ok, but the mash potatoes were actually wet and the rice with the salmon soggy. Not good value and not well made. The server and ambience was very good.

This was our first time and won't be the last! The food was fantastic and the service was great! Melanie was fantastic! Told them it my wife's birthday in the reservation and they were all over it! Thank you for making it one to remember!

We come here every year and have never been disappointed with the food or service. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel special.The food is exceptional! I would highly recommend this restaurant. See you next year!
