The four-diamond Cannery Restaurant of today is reminiscent of its former life as a canning factory in the 1800s, where Niagara peaches and tomatoes were canned until 1957. Its agricultural past has been lovingly retained in its décor of rough hewn wooden beams, rich red brick walls and a hearth at the heart of the restaurant. Chef Mark Longster continues to serve up the best of the region in his menus which feature the freshest local produce and fine wines. Charming and casual Cannery Restaurant is the place to find all your favorites, from succulent steaks to catch of the day to a fabulous Sunday brunch. As always, great good, great service. Our visitors from overseas enjoyed every bite of their meal (so did we). Our server, Sue, was very kind and welcoming.

Very nice anniversary dinner night out. Great server. Rib eye was decent, in a gravy which was ok. Great garlic mashed. Wife’s cesar salad was average. Nice back drop against a fire setting

Husband had mixed greens and Marrakech Salmon, his excellent he enjoyed everything. I had the Tiger prawns (Best I've ever had) wanted the crab cakes but they were already made but had peppers in them (Can eat any red or green peppers) , then had the Swordfish Nicoise - fish was cooked perfectly tender so were the fingerling potatoes but again asked to omit the peppers, was excellent except for about 1/2 cup of olive oil on bottom of plate. Bread service had 2 kinds of bread the crusty sourdough was amazing but the other was very tasteless. First time there and was seated in a very dark corner had I'd known I would definitely pick a window spot, I found it too dark. For a very fancy place think they need to update the bathrooms and remove all the dreary dark carpeting and put lighter hardwoods. But just my opinion. Would have preferred a better fish option like their Millcroft inn Headwaters Restaurant has better.

The entrees were very good and service was excellent. My peach smash cocktail was too acidic and my husband’s was average. I was disappointed there wasn’t more than one seafood option.

This restaurant is so elegant and beautiful! The service was fast, efficient and the food was incredible. The best ribeye steak I’ve ever had!!

We appreciated our server, Patricia who took amazing care of us and paced our meal just beautifully. The atmosphere, food and service were top notch! We will definitely be back!

We always have dinner one night during our annual trip to Niagara. The prime rib was excellent as always. She had the short rib but was disappointed which is the reason for this year's lower than usual rating. It was very dry and the Bernaise sauce doesn't suit the meat as well as a rational wine bases sauce. Service and atmosphere were are always nice.
