The rack of lamb was served in a sickly sweet sauce. The veal chop was fried in a thick layer of bread crumbs, overcooked, you couldn't taste the meat. The linguini tasted like store-bought pasta but was overcooked. Not only is the place very expensive; the food is awful.

Hard to go wrong. I had veal parm, huge helping, delicious. Apps are all the best, great beers, wines, everthing is made with care! Really fun experioence.

Camille’s is one of my favorite restaurants on Federal Hill in Providence, RI. It has a great ambiance. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I had the ravioli filled with short rib with a wonderful white parmigiana sauce. My daughter had the Zuppa de Pesce which she loved! The only reason they didn’t get the 5 stars is that we started with their Polpo alla Griglia, which we generally love, but this time the octopus was overcooked and rubbery. I would normally let it pass, but this is the second time I’ve ordered it and both times it was overcooked and disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Camille’s and will visit again, but probably will stay away from the polpo.

Camille's is a wonderful restaurant for ambiance and cocktails. I'm sad to say I didn't enjoy the food much at all. I had the Risotto Primavera and added seared scallops to it. The scallops were over cooked/dry and the Risotto was undercooked, hard rice. My guests had the Rib Eye special (2x) and Chicken Parm. Of the 4 meals we had the Chicken Parm was the only meal that was cooked to expectation. The two Rib Eye steaks were gray in color, which indicates the steaks weren't properly seared and the meat was 75% fat. I know RibEye is a fatty piece of meat but 75% of your meal shouldn't be scrapes for the garbage. Overall the meal was a 2 stars out of 10 but the cocktails and ambiance rated 8/10 for me.

I went to Camille’s expecting an extraordinary experience based upon reviews, but what we received was actually, rather average. I am not one that enjoys overly salted food, however, I know that some salt is necessary to bring out the flavors of the food served. That being said, our appetizer and both entrees were drastically under-salted, leaving the food flat and bland. To top the experience off, the waiter couldn’t seem more disinterested if he tried. I’m not saying it was a horrible experience, but it surely wasn’t what I was expecting. Knowing that there are many different high-quality Italian restaurants in the area, I doubt that I will make my way back again.
