I've lived in Danbury my entire life and I always forget to go to Cafe on the Green. Wanted to go out Saturday night and thought I'd give it a try. The location is good, service is good, however, the quantity of food is a complete joke. I ordered the Chicken Scarpariello, and no lie I think I received two tablespoons of mashed potatoes, maybe one chicken breast which was halved, so, in essence a half of a chicken breast and one sausage and a small side of vegetables. Do yourself a favor and skip this restaurant if you want a decent amount of food to eat.

Though the restaurant is located in the clubhouse of a golf course, the food is far better than one would expect in such a context.

Very nice experience. We had lunch on the patio overlooking the golf course . The food and drinks were great as was the service . We had our dog with us on the patio . Great time had by all !

The food was delicious and the service excellent. The plants and flowers around the restaurant made a lovely setting for an afternoon with friends.

We always rely on having an enjoyable dinner at the Cafe on the Green, and we were not disappointed this time. Excellent food was served by an efficient and congenial staff. During the early part of the dinner there was a nearby group of people enjoying a cocktail party. They were not loud but the overall level of sound was a little higher than normal. The party ended early in our dining and the ambiance became very quiet. I must point out that the sound level during the early part of our dinner was noticeably lower than the general sound level in many restaurants. While the menu is basically Italian cuisine, all dishes seem to have a unique and delicious touch making great food even better.

We all had the luncheon menu, the shrimp was excellent pasta and sauce . Steak entry mashed potatoes and wonderful fresh vegetable .. and my eggplant parmigiana w vegetables was excellent. Service was very attentive. Beautiful ambiance .. Just a gorgeous place with outstanding views of the mountains and golf course .. Fit for a King.

Nicely priced Prix Fix dinner. Wonderful red snapper, nicely cooked veggies and mashed potatoes. Came with salad and dessert. Perfect portion. Delicious hot bread. Never had a bad meal here and have gone on and off for about 30 years. Lovely view of golf course green.
