We had an excellent dinner and visit with old friends. The hostess very kindly let us into the restaurant a few minutes before opening because of the heat outside. The food was excellent and we were not rushed. There is a wide variety of items on the menu and ingredients easy to understand. The only hardship is the restroom is in the basement level down a very steep flight of stairs so might be a hardship for those with mobility issues. And the restaurant is conveniently located right in downtown Annapolis. The restaurant does not have its own parking lot although there are commerical lots within walking distance. For those opting to use on-street parking in the area there is a strict two hour maximum time so plan accordingly.

The place is small and you would expect a dress code. Food and beverages were Pricey but delicious food - can get crowded

We're so happy we chose Cafe Normandie. Not your ordinary menu and all was delicious. A special call out for the Salmon with Blueberries and the Seafood Pasta. Creative (and exquisite mixed drinks.) The service was exceptional. We can't say enough good things about the restaurant. We plan to come back. So many inviting dishes from which to choose.

The escargot was exquisite. The duck with raspberry sauce was done to perfection. The skin was crispy. I would certainly go there again and I will when I come back to Annapolis.

Cafe Normandie was a delightful restaurant, with excellent food. The special wine by the glass (a Chateauneuf de pape) was outstanding, and paired well with our dinners. The pistachio cheese cake was exceptional. The service was a bit lacking, not a result of the individual servers who did an excellent job, but more so from a lack of sufficient waitstaff for the number of diners. All in all, we will return.

This place is so tired the decor is awful. The bathrooms should’ve been a warning with broken faucet, paper towel on a roll sitting on the counter, broken toilet seat and chipped walls. The food was mediocre best and certainly in authentic. Not at all French French, we have been really looking forward to a different type of experience for lunch after a couple of days of nothing but seafood and it was really disappointing.

Nice place. SHOCKED after spending over $200 they charged $4 each for a small order of french bread (2 tiny slices each) for a total of $8. Says a lot about a place that does that. Won’t be going back! Too many other Great places in the area that won’t nickel and dime customers.

IMO… Best restaurant in Annapolis, MD. We look forward to sailing south several weekends to visit. The food is fresh, well prepared, seasoned and presented. Classic French fare with a modern twist in a casually elegant setting. Delicious vegetarian options, well chosen wine list and the staff is always professional, informative and friendly. On this visit, our server was Amanda - knowledgeable, well spoken and friendly with perfect timing for checking in and suggestions. Thank you 🙂

We had a reservation for brunch at 9 AM. When we first walked in, it was almost as if they weren't open yet. It was extremely quiet, and while we were sat immediately, no one came over to our table for quite a while. I had to ask the host to get us coffee as we were all craving coffee and hadn't seen a waitress yet. However, by about 9:20-9:30, everything changed - music came on, the server came over and was quite attentive from there on out, and more guests came in to the restaurant. The food was terrific as was the ambiance. So overall I would say it was a great experience, minus those first twenty minutes!
