Le Café Loren a ouvert ses portes en 1978. Il propose une cuisine raffinée dans une ambiance balnéaire décontractée et élégante. Son menu suit le rythme des tendances culinaires américaines depuis presque 40 ans. Au fil des ans, la forte influence française a cédé la place à une cuisine américaine, hybride de styles, de méthodes et d'ingrédients du monde entier. La meilleure description du menu serait « cuisine américaine de la côte ». Américaine en raison de la diversité des préparations et de la côte en raison de l'accent mis sur les fruits de mer. Mais les amateurs de viande ne sont pas oubliés et vous pourrez déguster de l'agneau, du veau, du bœuf ainsi que du porc superbement accommodés. Le chef/propriétaire Stephen Serano a travailllé avec certains des meilleurs cuisiniers au monde, notamment trois ans à New York avec le célèbre chef Gordon Ramsay. Il apporte cette expérience à sa cuisine et y ajoute une touche d'originalité créative, notamment avec ses desserts maison et ses plats du jour originaux. En hiver, il donne des cours à l'Atlantic County Community College.

We had a fabulous experience with both our dinners and with our service! Our main entrees( salmon/ scallops) were absolutely delicious! The menu itself was unique and innovative which makes Cafe Loren very special. My husband and I were celebrating our belated wedding anniversary with our friends. Our server Michael surprised with a wonderful dessert for all of us to share.This was a perfect evening, thank you!

It was a fabulous dining experience. While we consider this our favorite restaurant in Avalon the issue is always making a reservation because it’s booked so far in advance. Now that the summer season is over we were able to get a Sunday night dinner reservation at a decent time and the restaurant didn’t disappoint us. Still our favorite place. Fabulous blue butter crab appetizer and a delicious Halibut entree which is part of the regular menu. Highly recommend Cafe Loren.

What a pleasant surprise. Exceeding my expectations for dining at the shore. Preparation attention was given to all the dishes we enjoyed. Amy our server worked a full dining room, but she provided us with excellent service.

This is a very nice restaurant, the food and service are outstanding. That said if you happen to be a party of two you will likely be seated in the front of the restaurant or along the wall towards the back room. These spots are all ok with the exception of the table directly across from the kitchen entrance. In the future I would refuse to sit there. It was non stop traffic walking to and from the three kitchen doors. It was distracting and quite annoying. At one point a guy in what looked to be work shorts (he kind of looked like he might be a plumber (no offense to plumbers), hung in the entranceway talking to someone in the kitchen for a few minutes. This place is too expensive to be seated in a spot like we were. The owners should put a screen of some sorts outside the entranceway into the kitchen or remove the table we were seated at.

Consistently good creative meal choices.Highly recommend the blue crab appetizer!Waitstaff is friendly and efficient and they always take you on time for your reservation.

Have been going to Cafe Loren for special occasions for many years. They have yet to disappoint. Food is consistently terrific and the service has been exceptional through the years. Last night’s dinner for 5 was no exception. Five different entrees and every one was delicious. Highly recommend Cafe Loren.
