In the heart of London’s Soho, Cafe Boheme has been serving French classics for over three decades. Offering an all-day menu centred around French favourites, including confit duck, steak frites and escargots – all dishes are based on traditional recipes.

The brasserie is inspired by the 19th-century poets who used to meet on Old Compton Street and features art-lined walls, a brass bar and mosaic tiled floor.

Head outside and dine al fresco for views across Soho or join us at the bar everyday from 3pm for live jazz.

We have wanted to eat here for a while, so took the opportunity to have lunch and was very disappointed. The welcome we received was not very inviting, the air con was make an irritating sound and there was no music playing. We ordered Camembert to share and then the brevette and fries with a side of ratatouille, which came out cold especially the ratatouille. The waiter asked to take my napkin away when I wasn’t finished with it, and found this an odd request but he was adamant on taking it. We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine, and the waiter then topped up our half empty glasses with tap water, which defeated the object of ordering sparkling water. When the bill came we, we asked for the 13.5% service charge to be removed, due to everything we experienced and we interrogated as to why, making the experience even worse. Surely as a waiter when we are raising these concerns with you, you’d wouldn’t be surprised we were questioning the service charge. Overall, we found it overpriced for what was provided.

You shoud definately try chicken liver pate and onion soup!

Made an online booking specifically for early evening pre-theatre dinner yet had to ask staff twice to see the set-menu which unfortunately was neither very inspiring nor great value for money. Found seating & table settings cramped and with Euro football being shown on TV screen in front bar area the background noise levels were steadily on the rise. Menu choices and food quality considered mediocre, service levels just about passable, value for money...well no, not really.

I usually love Cafe Boheme but last night the team were awful. We had to stand for 20 mins even though we had a booking. No plates for bread. They charged us £5.50 for bottled water even though we ordered tap, and then they argued they hadn’t heard but we’d drank it so we had to pay. They asked how we wanted the steak, and they brought it medium rare and dismissed it. We would have been happy to go along with one of these but all of them meant we left frustrated.

Having eaten at Cafe Boheme for the first time as a guest a few weeks earlier I booked a reunion lunch for friends who used to work together. Great table by the window, lovely food (and excellent value for Soho), good wines and truly exceptional service. Live music from mid-afternoon set it all off perfectly. A fantastic, relaxed afternoon.

One of my favourite London restaurants. Always quality food, simple but delicious. Lovely staff, beautiful space, perfect location. Good cocktails. It never fails.

Disappointed. I've been to a handful of times and it always hits the mark. This time, it just didn't. The food was disappointing. My friend struggled through her steak with a normal knife. In the end we asked for a steak knife and it was provided, why wasn't it just given to start? The camembert was oily. The bread wasn't great. The mixed salad was some leaves. 13.5% service charge is steep. Won't be going back there.
