We had a large group and ended up having to wait quite a while for our table which was reconciled by giving us a private room and comping $200 which was really great!

The food here is really good and the service is friendly and quick. The only thing that is a little weird for me is how the food comes out so sporadic. I know I know that’s how tapas restaurants are. I just would like to have them paced out a little better.

Very kind and polite staff! They have wide assortment of Spanish wines that pair well with a fun style of eating intended to suggest sharing multiple rounds of small plates that each individually pack a punch in flavor. I would suggest the garlic shrimp and patatas!

My friends and I had a truly wonderful time at Café Ba-Ba-Reeba. The restaurant was bustling but our food came out at the perfect time, with each tapas spaced out nicely. Each dish was absolutely delicious, including the seafood paella, which was a great finisher for the meal. Even better was the service. I was there with my old college roommates to celebrate one of us who recently beat cancer, and I made a note on the reservation but didn’t give it a second thought after that. The six of us enjoyed a lovely celebration meal including sangria, a little dessert, and coffees at the end. When we asked for the check, the manager came over and informed us that he was comping the entire meal. My friends, many of whom were visiting the city for the first time, were blown away. We were quite touched by the generosity of the manager (whose name I didn’t learn). Suffice it to say, all of us will be talking about our meal at Ba-Ba-Reeba for years to come. And we will be back. Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts!

We had a wonderful dinner once we got past the hostess's plan to see us in the furthest possible, primarily empty room (we look old). Service was excellent, the waiter was knowledgeable, and the food was delicious. We prefer past versions of the octopus with potatoes, as this sauce had little flavor. We last had the paella a few years ago, but I immediately ordered it.

This a very nice afterwork happy hour place. The food is nice but nothing really surprising. It was quite noisy but consider it was Friday afternoon at 6pm, it is quite acceptable. The service was really good. I would recommend this place to young people who want to find a perfect Friday happy hour place

This spot continues to shine. My first visit in over 10 years, and it’s just as relevant as ever. Lively atmosphere, great vibe. Terrific sangria. Great tapas experience, and really good paella. Also a really good value for Chicago dining. Rock on Cafe Ba Ba Reeba!!!

All five of our dishes arrived within 20 minutes. Fastest meal we’ve ever had in Chicago. It felt like they were in a hurry to get us out, not at all relaxing. Worst fried calamari we’ve ever had. Very disappointing.

Our family came to celebrate my husband’s birthday and from the moment we walked we felt the love! We had a toddler with us (which I let them know when I reserved) they double checked upon arrival and swapped out a high chair. Our daughter has a couple of allergies and they made sure we were clear on food items that would be safe. Our server was very attentive, maintained a positive attitude throughout our dinner. Other staff came to check on us as well. Food was delicious! It was a great overall experience!

Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba never disappoints!! Been coming for over 20+ years and have never had a bad meal. Now I even have my daughters hooked! Plus, love the extra sangria options. The original red was always my favorite, but now I look forward to the seasonal flavor. My go to is always the spicy potatoes and goat cheese. My daughters love the empanadas.
