The worst dining experience I’ve had thus far in the city. The sangria tasted like wine water which was comical. Not a single dish had salt or acid of any kind. No herbs. Nothing. The bacon dates were burnt. The goat cheese dips marinara straight up tasted like it was from a can and the bread tasted like a freezer. The paella had green beans which makes no sense, it had no salt, no acid, no heat. It was an insult to spanish cuisine. Our server couldnt be bothered to get us some lemon after asking in addition to asking for a bottle of water for the table which also was not brought out til the end of our meal. The “chocolate cake” was a set ganache and had zero texture or even salt. I dont know how its possible to take food and strip it of any semblance of flavor or care what so ever. Insanely terrible experience.

Went for 2025 restaurant week. Id say for value this place is pretty great. I recommend upgrading to the paella. The portions are great and the food is also delicious.

Dinner was very good...really liked the Chicago Restaurant Week as we sampled a number of items. Its been over 10 years since the last time I was there. My guest was there for the first time. Server was very good as she explain the entire menu and described how best to order The only downside was our server was given a party of 12-14 3/4 the wayt thorugh our dining experience and then we were held a bit captive as she got caught up at the service bar and taking the dinner order which prolonged our dining experience longer than it should have been...waiting awhile for our check. But again she was awesome. That laerge party probably could have been divided between 2 servers so one person is not able to provide a great expereince for her entire station.

The food was great. The place is very nice. The only con I saw was the noise level, but it is to be expected for a very nice spot.

I’ve been Esther’s since forever. I really miss the filet with horseradish and onions. But the sangria is perfect portions are just right and I never leave unsatisfied. Our sever was a little busy talking with other servers and not as attendants I am used to, but overall a great place to get together with friends. We’ll be coming as long as it is there.

My husband and I were there for the first time with our daughter and son-in-law. Nice ambience and lovely waitress. Our daughter and son-in-law have been there before and recommneded it. Two of us had the restaurant week specials which we supplemented with ala carte choices and shared between all four of us. All excellent! Chorizo wrapped dates, deviled egg, stuffed piquillo peppers, patatas bravas and brussel sprout salad (both VERY good sized shareable portions!) grilled iberico pork presa (very good, but not a favorite), pressed bikini sandwiches (OMG-delicious) and the CHAMPION....Grilled hanger steak. WOW!!! cinammon flan with saffron and the chocolate truffle cake. Prices reasonable for Chicago. Our only complaint was when it got super busy around 630pm (we were there at 515pm) we waited a looooong time to order our desserts, the waitress, who was excellent, seemed a little overbooked, she could hardly get out of the dining room to put orders in from one table to the next. Not her fault, she was great, but that was the only issue. The bus people/assitants were very attentive during this time and helped us with things that she didn't need to be bothered with. We really enjoyed our visit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
