The lighting and ambiance were great. A nice homey feel and a really stunning painting of the woods in the dining area was really cool. Service and food were top notch. Starting with focaccia, it was amazing. My girlfriend and I never had a cornmeal focaccia and it was perfectly paired with a nice chili oil and ricotta cheese balls. My favorite dish was the second grilled octopus appetizer. We probably could’ve eaten that over and over and over again. Moving on to dinner, I think I just ate the best BBQ ribs I’ve ever had, amazing presentation and decadent boat of polenta surrounding the rib meat. When I tried my girlfriend’s branzino I felt the same joy. Everything tasted so so good. And we ordered fries as a side and I loved them as well. It was like the perfect mix between a shoe string and steak fry. Wonderful experience

From the rolls to the pork chops and short ribs the food was outstanding! Delicious dinner.

Visited Butter Midtown today for the first time with a group of 7 for a business lunch. They just opened this location for lunch so unfortunately it was empty, making the environment a little strange. The food was overall “great” with the highlights being the chicken, salmon and the yellowfin carpaccio. I personally got the butter burger cooked medium rare, it was a standard well cooked burger. If you’re looking for the next viral burger in NYC this ain’t it but no complaints. The lobster bisque seemed a little too dressed up but meaty nonetheless. The rolls and butter are amazing so the name makes sense. With that said everything was still great, especially the wait staff. Thank you for a great lunch.

Amazing dining experience…grilled octopus and burrata with acorn squash were our appetizers, followed by grilled pork chops and beef Wellington. Food was cooked to perfection. The Wellington melted in your mouth and cut like butter. Raspberry beignets for dessert are to die for, the warm jelly explodes in your mouth with the airy dough and just the right amount of sugar. Sweet and savory! The atmosphere is relaxed and service is impeccable. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion but especially for celebrations!!!

Food was very good but service could be improved. We had to wait 25 minutes past our reservation time to be seated and another 20 minutes after that for our drinks to arrive. Most restaurants will offer a little something for the person celebrating their birthday (as I indicated on the reservation) so we were a bit disappointed when Butter did not.

The food was amazing, especially the gnocchi and the beignettes. I had the chop, my friends the ribs. Conversation was completely possible even in a full restaurant. Service was gracious and helpful. The ambience was warm and elegantly comfortable. I highly recommend the experience. I came in from the Philadelphia area twice in the last three months and ate there both times. So worth it.

I took a friend here for a special birthday dinner and the experience exceeded expectations. Tony and the staff were lovely and made it so enjoyable.The food was amazing and did not disappoint. Looking forward to coming back!

Fun overall experience. Was surprised not to be offered coat check in the dead of winter. Realized they had it after asking from the table (tiny, 2-top.) They graciously took the coats and my husband's bowler hat. Unfortunately they stuffed the hat into the sleeve of his coat, which caused permanent misshaping to his custom hat.
